What about the jan 6 rioters? They brutalized our Capitol police resulting in deaths. Trump pardoned them all. Aren't those homegrown criminals?

What about people who riot and assault the police with metal poles and blinding sprays, and leave some of them mangled and broken and unable to even stand? Should those guys be put in prison? Or should they all be pardoned and freed from jail and hailed as patriots?
