New design for the wifi distance device -- the new enclosure is much more stable than the old one, rock solid. Will begin soldering tomorrow and final assembly. Looking forward to showing it off in Minneapolis next week at the joint SMT/AMS conference!

Collected some interesting air quality data and video for a future project from my homemade sensors, on a bike ride from @duquesneuniversity.bsky.social to the Kamin Science Center (formerly Carnegie Science Center).
Some screenshots of the 3d rendered graphics from my piece last week.
Lots going on in my lab recently! Building a number of handheld WiFi controllers, as well as a debut of a new piece using the akai midimix (and iPad).
Very cool stuff, thanks for sharing !!! I heard some Partch inspired instruments in Darmstadt in 2010, a vivid memory of a mind blowing concert….

Prototype of airborne particulate matter sensor working. My student will sonify the data for his senior capstone project. Lots of fun work in @python.org and @maxmsp-experts.bsky.social. Next we solder it up and make an enclosure with one of our awesome @josefprusa.bsky.social Prusa 3D printers.
Very nice to see friends and fellow PhDs @guaguanco127.bsky.social and Ramin Akhavijou at @duquesneuniversity.bsky.social today!

Our Media Maker’s Space at Duquesne University is open for its first full week starting today! There was a little delay after the grand opening on 1/10 to make sure that the card swipe reader was working, but we’re ready to go.
Great opening party for the Duquesne media makers lab!
