A man stands, staring in shock at the price on a gas pump.
"But...but...I'm not political," the man says to the pump. "This shouldn't affect me."
The price does not change.
"I'm NOT one of those POLITICAL types!" he screams.
The pump does not respond.
The price does not change.

Finally, science has perfected the hubris machine
Learned my gym’s fob scanner plays the first few bars of happy birthday on your birthday.
Who else is dumb enough to work out at 5:30 AM on their birthday.
If Jason Momoa didn't exist, they'd have to invent him to play Lobo.

When he was 14 years old, Rob Kenney's father abandoned him. After becoming an adult, he launched a YouTube channel called "Dad, How Do I do it?" that teaches kids how to do things a dad would normally teach them.
I love this idea. My dad died when I was three and I had to figure out simple things like how to tie a tie and even shave on my own. Please retweet this because I know there are a lot of kids out there who could use some help with day to day life.
Two empty cans of pumpkin, a bowl of sugar with spices, two cups of heavy cream and various kitchen utensils and appliances presumably for making pie. Also there is a bottle of Basil Hayden bourbon.
CW: alcohol.
Perfectly normal, traditional pumpkin pie

Newly renovated and expanded North Portland Library includes a Black Cultural Center with art from local Black artists.
Many 3D printed models of ruined medieval style houses in blue and red and grey plastic splay across two tiers of oak shelving in front of a HomePod and a dice bag.
I may have gone a little overboard with gaming terrain on the new printer (there are more not pictured)
Two browned and crisp square waffles sit on a white plate, they are absolutely chock full of maple syrup.
Felt like a good waffle weekend.
I know that arm…
Reading a book that really sets my anxiety into overdrive. Turns out doing that right before trying to go to sleep may be a bad thing.
Two slices of pizza covered in sauerkraut sit on a white plate with a piece of focaccia with everything bagel topping and a pile of roast Brussels sprouts.
Went buck wild on pizza this weekend, meet the Rueben pizza.
It’s tattoo work day with the wonderful @lynntattoos.bsky.social. My schedule was all kinds of messed up, but I’m gonna make it.

Inquisitors and their retinue, hands down.
Finished up our planescape game that I’ve been running for the past year last night. It was a lot of fun with some fun characters. The published planescape adventure was generally well regarded by the group.
There’s something very strange about going back to your hometown and the divey, old, western bar being decorated to the nines.
My pictures appear to be failing, fun.
Several croissants rest on a wire rack. They look like they were shaped by a child.
Shaping continues to be my sore point.
