I feel it started with gangster films and definitely progressed through heist movies.
Where criminals are portrayed as cool and we're encouraged to support their selfish quest for financial gain.

It doesn't even have to stop at technology - physics, chemistry, biology... the foundations of technology are indistinguishable from magic.
In philosophical moments I'd also say art is magic.
Of course, using the term "magic" quite creatively.
Doing an AI course for my employer. Find it a bit concerning that "persuasion bombing" is a known thing - "where generative AI tools have been programmed to use reassurance, logic, and empathy to persuade users that potentially questionable output is correct."
We know about this and are ok with it?
It's neither. Just a comment. No offence intended, no defensiveness necessary.
You're just not looking at it in the right way
Magic is real. We just know it as science
Sorry for being boring
(That we know of)
Speaking of trailers; it looks like there are a bunch of incomprehensible superhero films coming out
What the fuck are trailers?
On Netflix, "coming soon"
Coming soon!
Oh aye, show me stuff I can't watch yet!
Too much YouTube guitar content is about gear and not about playing guitar.
Where can I listen to it?
My kids were just doing karaoke of songs from Wicked. They have to be up there... free time dialogue, no rhythmic cues...
Fuckin nightmare
You have to consider the passage of time to make a pie e of music- how will the listener experience each moment?
And even a single note is longer than the moment a painting, sculpture or photograph shows you.
Been thinking about time and art.
Paintings and sculptures are interesting because you spend all that time making it, and ultimately it shows you a single moment.
The you have music, film and even literature, and the passage of time is built into their very fabric.
Just interesting to me.
I have a song with the line, "I feel nauseous."
My mate told me it means I make people feel sick.
Shit, I thought, far too late to change it.
Anyway, I looked it up and it's perfectly valid to use it the way I did.
So that's good.
Sorry, it was the first thing I thought of. And also a comment on the saturation of new music and lack of people listening to it ๐
Ok, put it over there with the rest
Just watched that new Mario film.
OMFG it's like everything happens all at once but it still takes 2 hours.
Shit. The kids have started watching Malcolm in the Middle, which is actually good, so it's harder to read my book.
So true. We all act like someone's going to take an interest in us or discover us, but they aren't. We have to invest heavily in ourselves. So once again, it's really about how much money you've got.
You know what I miss?
When people used to ask you for a match, and you could say, "your face, my arse."
Urusei Yatsura - saw them supporting... someone... back in 1996. Wish I could remember who.
Can't comment on flea's personality, but he did switch up from the speedfunk slap and pop bass he did in the 80s to the sublime laidback fingerstyle stuff he did on BloodSugar.
Can't afford fast foood
Going "sha-la-la" in songs:
Acceptable - Van Morrison in Brown-Eyed Girl
Unacceptable - Warren Zevon in the otherwise beautiful Keep Me in Your Heart for a While. Just write a couple of extra lines, or repeat a couple!
Oh, you're dead already.
Started catching up on BBCs Live at the Apollo after several years.
How come ALL the male comedian's routines are about being a dad?
I mean, I can hardly talk with my music, but it's kinda lame.
Just attack on all fronts at once
True. It's everything. If everything we bought lasted forever it would either have to be too expensive to afford or the economy would collapse.
We get to expect that devices are only going to last so long. More than 3 years and we're amazed while others tell us we should replace it anyway.
Sometimes you just have to add a little absurdity to the mix, for balance
