About eight-in-ten (82%) say immigrants who are in the U.S. illegally experience a lot of or some discrimination – including 57% who say they face a lot of discrimination, according to a new Pew Research Center survey of U.S. adults. That is the highest share for any group among 20 included in the survey. The Real-Time Crime Index is now updated through July. The sample consists of more than 560 agencies covering 116 million people. It's our largest sample yet and shows murder down 20% and both violent & property crime down more than 10% compared to 2024.

Begging journalists not to report on crime trends like this. DC crime was already falling relative to 2024 prior to the federal intervention, so it comes as no surprise that it was also down during this stretch.
We're witnessing the most aggressive, fanatical crackdown on free speech in my lifetime. The speed and breadth of government censorship and private sector and nonprofit capitulation has been astonishing. As has the lack of urgency/silence from people who've long claimed to care about this stuff.
