Kinda wish they went with Basil and not Matt, but literally everything else has me intrigued!

Just found out that the Paranormal Activity stage play is gonna be coming here in January! I watched @deadmeatjames.bsky.social’s podcast about it not too long ago and it got me pretty hyped to see it if I could, so I’m definitely gonna be getting tickets!
True, although you might be able to make an argument for Night unintentionally having a bit of it with Karen killing Helen with a tool instead of the usual zombie method.
Really? It’s also admittedly been a little bit since I’ve seen them, but didn’t literally every other Romero zombie film (except maybe the original Night) have a decent emphasis on humanising the zombies? Day DEFINITELY did, at least, and I’m remembering there being some of it in Dawn, too.
While I need to increase the amount of new movies I’m watching, I‘ve been toying with the idea of doing a full Romero rewatch too (as well as including some other zombie films, both rewatches and ones I haven’t seen)!
I don’t think I’ve seen it since I first watched it back when it came out (it was one of the first horror movies I was old enough to watch in the cinema), but I remember liking it at the time!
Vampire media needs to start using the more supernatural abilities of vampires again. Have them need to be invited in, that they’re warded off by faith (any faith, not just christian), that they can turn into bats, wolves, etc. It’s fun!
Not sure just yet, though my brain seems to have decided to be funny, because Blood Quantum and Jack’s Back (which from what little I know of each are pretty much on opposite ends of the horror movie spectrum) are the two that are jumping out at me right now!
I haven’t watched anywhere close to as many movies I’ve wanted to so far this year, and I want to change that.
I think I’m gonna dust off the recommendation list that @mvbrat10.bsky.social gave me a good while ago and try to get a couple more of those checked off ASAP!
a golden and white Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever sits proudly atop a step while wearing a black bowtie. he’s posing next to an elegant gold award, a statuette with wings and a large round black base.
a still from the movie Good Boy, featuring Indy in a foggy wooded area, one ear back to listen out for anything that may be creeping up on him
an instant photo of Indy wearing his black bowtie. he signed it with his pawtograph in gold in the lower right corner.
This is Indy. He just made history as the first dog to win a major acting award. He won the Astra for Best Performance in a Horror or Thriller after starring in the supernatural horror Good Boy. 14/10 congrats Indy
Right now? Daughter from 2022, which I watched earlier this year. So much so that I’m actually working on a fic for it (which I’m hoping to get done before January finishes).
Yep, he’s in the replies!
then there was the Santa in Lapland who we visited when my brother was in the same position about eight years later and got the same result!
Also, not Santas from media, but I gotta give a shout out to two Santas from my childhood; one my brother and I went to see at a shopping centre when I was on the verge of growing up who was so good I got another couple of years of childhood magic, and (cont.)

Here's mine!

Spirited is fun! I’m sure Jingle Jangle is too, but I watched it with my dad, who doesn’t like musicals, and so while he didn’t say anything (he’s not a jackass), the vibe was off enough that I couldn’t really enjoy it, so I’ll have to rewatch it at some point!
Interesting choice! I’ll admit, I had forgotten that Iron Man 3 takes place around Christmas. Guess that means it’s time for a rewatch!
Yeah. It’s really good, and I’m glad I was finally able to watch it a couple years ago, but that first attempt to watch it was a REAL punch in the gut when I saw where things were going.
I lost my own dog just before Christmas 2019, so when I started watching it the next year & saw the old dog struggling to get out of the car, I realised that there was no way I’d be able to handle it, so I stopped watching & wasn’t able to finish the whole thing until three years later. (2/2)
I know it’s not as good as the original, but I think the sequel, The Snowman and the Snowdog hit me harder when I finally watched it for the first time a few years ago, for one simple reason: (1/2)
Thanks again!
Fantastic! I’m assuming Tailor of Gloucester is the 1993 one, then? And which year is that version of Nutcracker from?
Can’t believe I forgot Father Christmas! And I’ve seen the original Miracle on 34th Street, which I also love, it’s just the the 94 film is the one I watched as a kid, so it tends to be the one I go with during the season! Definitely adding the others to the watchlist! Thanks!
