I always felt that ELEMENTARY had the most text-accurate depiction of Holmes's personality. I find most portrayals tend to way overfavor the manic energy.

hi everyone. welcome to 4/20. here is my edibles for newbies guide: start with 2.5mg of thc your first time and don't take more for 2 hours. if you are in really bad pain and are okay risking getting too high to get relief faster, you can do 5mg. you might have to cut them up.

I find it odd that this person has no link to their work, either in their bio or in their many screeds on marketing.

the president is committing war crimes, once eradicated diseases have returned, immigrants are being disappeared, concentration camps are back, billionaires are murdering communities with data centers, abortion is criminalized, and trans people are being erased, but at least robots can run marathons

Okay, I have checked, and it appears that line is from the original Hugo text, so I do NOT have to hand it to the musical.

For the greatest, I would choose Guys & Dolls. (Personal sentimental favorite is A Chorus Line, but that's different.)

On the other hand, Les Mis, which I don't actually particularly even like, has my favorite lyric of all time: "To love another person is to see the face of God."

Why we aren't throwing money at this research instead of AI farms boggles my mind.

The other day I had a sandwich from a French cafe that was just butter, ham, and pickles on a baguette, but it was REALLY good ham, REALLY good butter, and a PERFECT baguette and it was ridiculous how good it was.

Stephen Miller is so vile that he boomeranged immigration into a beloved public good

It's very murky how to disable this so I'll just provide a scorched-earth approach:

1. Disable Gemini Apps Activity: myactivity.google.com/product/gemini
2. Disable ALL activities: myactivity.google.com/activitycont...
3. Disable "Activity-based personalisation": photos.google.com/settings

I reach out like a badass and grab a fly out of the air.

Wait, gross, now I’m holding a fly.

Two ancestors of deer talk to each other, "Indohyus, my brother. I've decided to search for more food in the waters." "You will regret this Pakicetus. The environment will force you to adapt." "I just need some shrimps lol I will be perfectly fine."
35 million years later, a huge blue whale floats over a tiny deer, "AAAOOOOOOOOAAAAHHH MRUUUUUHHHH BWOOOOEEEEE" and the deer says "WTF"

He wasn't up until this point, but now that he got a laugh from the "It seems really advanced", I bet he will start doing it as a bit.

So his mom (my BFF) was like, "Oh my GOD, it is right in front of you, WHERE YOU HUNG IT UP" & I said, "Don't be too hard on him. He has a very serious condition called Towel Blindness," and he immediately said, "It feels very advanced." He is ten and he already can riff off of me. I'm so proud.

Like, he literally somehow doesn't see them b/c they are horizontal rods mounted on the tile or wall & at their house they have hooks, & his eye just doesn't register the rack. So tonight it was time to shower, & he said, "Where's my towel?" while standing in front of the rack w/ his towel on it.

Youngest nephew, for some reason, has an inability to see any of the FOUR wall-mounted towel racks in my bathroom. Whenever he showers, he either asks where to hang his towel & when we say, "on the rack", he says, "Where?" or he can't find the towel he previously hung up. It is bizarre...

Re: nostalgia for VHS tapes and other analog media, I saw someone say like "a VHS tape never sold my information to a nazi" and yes that's true! But the reason it's true is actually because Congress passed a law in 1988 specifically making it illegal for video stores to sell your rental history

Well, he didn't actually choose one over the other. Leverage: Redemption didn't get picked up for another season. So there was no leaving!

This fun fact often followed by the news flash that Lincoln was a Republican & Democrats were segregationists.

Wha-AT?! My mind, she is blown by your vast repository of historical knowledge, racist person who has learned two facts in his entire life!

Uber ballot initiative sparks showdown with lawyers, doctors Lawyers and doctors oppose Uber’s proposed ballot initiative, which would cap contingency fees and limit recoveries for medical costs from car crashes.

CALIFORNIA: Those scare ads for legislation limiting medical settlements that quote the LA Times are paid for by Uber because they want to limit how much they can be sued for when they hit you with their cars. calmatters.org/economy/2026...

For a while I could not get GBBO on streaming, and I defaulted to the Great Canadian Baking Show, which is similarly wholesome and also quite educational about different regions of Canada. I also like shows like Saved and Remade, where people bring their old stuff to craftsmen to be revamped.

I will also sometimes get mad at other characters being mean to character played by actors I know and like. "YOU STOP PICKING ON NOAH, YOU JERK!" is a thought I am not incapable of having.
