Also I graduated HS early and worked construction for a year before college, VERY underrated for future white collar workers to be able to look at a new physical object that exists because of you

Okay but seriously the vast majority of poasting is meta-level stuff about Bluesky, we need to populate it with actual object-level content to be a real platform

It was *really* great for a while, honestly. Scale hurt, it turned into a live podcasting service (which… isn’t exactly a bad idea either, but it didn’t feel like the spirit of the thing)

It algorithmically chooses to include new people but the posts are still chronological

But honestly I don’t see what I’d do differently on Bluesky, which might kill it in the long run :-/

Facebook for me is very clearly “this is a personal site for personal friends, and I know with decently high probability they’ll see and appreciate it”

Twitter I do have that existential question sometimes, but mostly I use it to gather info, and then post informative mega threads sometimes…

This feels a little like Clubhouse before Eternal September, except it’s all tpot instead of VC Twitter
