Let’s start with a simple inventory. Pick an area in your home: closet, kitchen, bathroom, garage, or other room in your house.

Identify items you rarely use. Choose 3 of those items to donate, sell, or recycle.

(And remember that you don’t use them when you’re tempted to re buy in the future!)

Monday I had to let an employee go, Tuesday my husband got bit by a dog…
I’m kind of afraid of what will happen today.
Both events really wrecked me emotionally/mentally.
Can I just stay in bed and hide from everything?

Yep, just turned off comments on the post and heading to bed.

Also, the guy assuming my husband doesn’t know how to avoid getting bit by dogs, had it coming, etc etc is a realtor and I so want to find a way to leave a negative review….but I suppose I should be better than that.
this guy isn’t even the dog owner in question, just an opinionated man!

Any person suggesting it wasn’t my husbands fault, the guy says nope, he should have avoided the people/dogs more. Doubling down on blaming him.

Confession, I haven’t really watched much hockey since Dominik Hašek and Pat LaFontaine were the big names for the Sabres. I’m not so much a fair weather fan, just a busy person who moved from Buffalo over 25 years ago.
Let’s go, Buffalo!

Because some comments make me think people missed the PSAs I do semi-regularly: if you were born before 1987, you should get a MMR booster now. The second childhood dose of MMR wasn't added until 1989, and folks who were older than 2 (the age for the 2nd) may not have gotten it.

I foolishly went to local Facebook group asking if the owner could ping me so we could understand vaccine status of dog.
Some guy commented, basically victim blamed my husband, suggesting that he should have given the dog a wider berth to avoid getting bit.
I’m not engaging with that.

Am I overreacting? Who knows?
Am I so anxious I can’t focus? Absolutely!

Owner didn't say anything about rabies or anything. Would assume dog had its shots but no way to know since they didn’t say.
So, as rabies is 100% fatal once symptoms occur, I’m pushing aggressively on him getting treated just in case.

Husband off this week with the kids for spring break.
He went for a run this morning and got bitten by a dog (dog was on a leash with owner).
I was at work, but once he told me about the dog bite, I drove home to send him off to hospital in case of rabies.
Highly unlikely but better safe than sorry.

Waking up as a lifelong Sabres fan today in Boston. Ooh, the sun is shining, the air is brisk, going to be walking on clouds all day.

I need you to know how great this recipe is. I challenged my kids to get showered/ready for bed while I made cookies.
My son, who tends to take longer to get ready, came down a few minutes before the cookies came out of the oven!
I froze rest of dough in balls for emergency cookies!

This has me thinking about all the different colors of breast milk depending on when it’s pumped. Some is yellower, some whiter, and some with a blue tint!

Actually slept in a tiny bit this morning, but still ran into the same morning routine: run multiple loads of laundry, clean up in other areas of the house, etc.

and that uses more electricity and you spend more money.

Do not do this. Size your a/c correctly.

Also, we feel cooler when the air is moving. Use your a/c with fans. Fans use up to 20x less energy than your A/C so again this lets you set your a/c at a higher temp and still feel cool.

My annual reminder that if you need to buy a window A/C this year do not simply buy the largest model you can afford. Energy Star has a sizing guide.

Why do you want an AC that is sized for your room?

Because an undersized A/C won't cool well and an oversized A/C will leave a space humid

Recently, my office issued over $24,000 in penalties to Dunkin for breaking our child labor laws and refusing to keep accurate payroll records.

Massachusetts- know that while I'll always protect our iced coffee from RFK, I'll also always protect our workers.
