Nah, LLMs are really good. Developers at my office write a lot of their code with it now. Eventually it will write all their code and that will be that.
It's going to cause so many people to lose their jobs.

My Dad texts me once every couple months because a full screen "your computer has been compromised" page loads and he thinks he has been locked out with a virus, and he says "I didn't go anywhere bad"...and I don't know about that...
I just tell him to reboot.
But to be fair I like to walk around Winnie the Pooh style as well.
My 13 year old son has been watching a lot of stand up comedy recently and said “I sent you a Chris Rock clip that is hilarious” a couple nights ago and I thought “please don’t let it be that one....please don’t let it be that one…”
It was “Bullet Control” though.
100%. And I don’t think we need a hard cap. Make it like the NBA where your ability to make trades and draft is severely limited if you spend over a certain amount.
I don't know a single fan who defends cheap owners.
You can be upset about both, the Dodgers spending the rest of the league into oblivion and billionaire owners who use their team as a money faucet and don't reinvent into the product on the field.
The Recruit > The Night Agent
Roki Sasaki's agent telling the Blue Jays and Dodgers to trade for as much international bonus money as they can and he might sign with them.
Think of how much money A Complete Unknown would have made if they had made Bob Dylan a CGI monkey.
It won’t corrupt me though
Full Podcast is a great listen.

Interesting video where Amiel Sawdaye talks about the behind the scenes of how the Corbin Burnes signing came to fruition.

Reading @BNightengale latest column and he casually mentions how far Alex Bregman's home in Phoenix is from Toronto and my ears suddenly perk up.
I'm going to end up tracking players who live in Phoenix and getting my dreams crushed.

The problem is not wanting to eat his contract. The Cardinals got the Rockies to pay $36M of his salary from '21-'23 and now they want some team to pay full price for his decline years.
Until they are willing to eat half ($25-30M), they are going to have problems moving him.
DBacks Shop T Shirt Sale. Tommy Pham Tshirt 15.99, Joc Peterson 15.99
Going to get my wife and I matching t-shirts from the DBacks Team Shop to walk around Chase Field in.
We get along slightly better than they do.
I wouldn't be totally against it but I'd love if they aimed a little higher.
I do think the team missed his vocal leadership in the clubhouse, especially down the stretch. I think it's funny that so many people perceive it as a negative. Wonder if it would be the same if he was white.
Checking out Justin Turner’s stats? 🤔
xMy way to early prediction on the Corbin Burnes opt-out putting it out there now so I can refer back to it), if the contract is a success and Burnes has the ability to opt out, he will make the NTC full so he can't be traded for the final 4 years.
I need the Corbin Burnes Press Conference already.
Would be a fine addition to the pen but feel like Puk or Martinez are better closer options than him.
Yes, he has experience but as the article mentions, his peripherals are not those of a dominant reliever and he's not in the same ballpark as someone like Yates or the other guys you've profiled.
We have a couple more free agent closer review articles on tap this morning for pitchers the #Dbacks could potentially consider. First up is Kyle Finnegan, courtesy of @aaronrhughes.bsky.social

Hes a pitcher but it will be the first time 2 Corbins have played on the same team in MLB history (there are only 3 in MLB history, the 3rd being Corbin Martin who played for the Dbacks in '21 and '22).
He's 81 so I honestly think he is realizing you can't take that money with you.
Old owners trying to win a championship before they die is something that happens a lot in baseball but is so rarely talked about.
The DBacks are in an awful RSN situation, play in a ramshackle stadium that only occasionally functions, charge like $3/hot dog and keep dropping fat contracts and trying to improve despite being in the toughest division in baseball, which I think absolutely rules.
I still can't believe the Dbacks signed Corbin Burnes.
Dbacks are finally exploiting one of the biggest advantages they have: players who live in AZ and want to be at home year round. It may not always work out (See MadBum) but it is one of the few advantages we have.
I was watching Squid Games with my wife and I got up and said "I gotta go, the Dbacks signed Corbin Burnes" and walked into my office as she looked at me like I was insane.
We need to end the US Senate. Whether they are blue or red, giving a state with 500K people the same representation as a state with 50M people, is incompatible with democracy.
I'm a day late because I was focused on the DBacks finally making a move, but the death Rickey Henderson is so sad, who I loved growing up in the 80s/early 90s. I was a skinny fast kid and he kept that delusional dream that I could be a big leaguer alive
Wondering if this kickstarts our free agency? Were they waiting on this domino to fall before acting on other options or had they already moved on?
