We’ve now reached the part of the referendum where everyone lines up, mutters “goodgamegoodgamegoodgamegoodgame“ a bunch of times with a series of low fives - the winning Yes side slightly more enthusiastic about it- and then they bring out baggies of oranges and Capri Suns for the campaign workers.
Right, like that's what I'm confused about. Everyone's using this as an opportunity to try and dunk on the Mayor when he didn't even do anything bad?
I live downtown and am fully aware of all of it. I still think this is a good idea and all the criticism is just grasping at straws
He didn't! He's not quoted in the article!

MNDOT was talking a few years ago about turning it into a maintenance center but nothing came of it. Probably the best use for that site though

When they asked what I was doing I told them I was taking pictures of the empty Hennepin Avenue. I told them the rain made the reflections look nice. They told me no, it didn't look nice and said my explanation made them believe i was suffering from some type of mental health crisis.
I was handcuffed/charged with jaywalking (didn’t) holding a large camera taking a photo of street outside this McDonald’s.
While detained, MPD ignored multiple burglary calls. I had to take it all the way to trial where they tried to shake me down for a plea before dismissing 1 min before trial.
But I bought my ticket based on destination so surely it had to be possible, and after quick asking an agent they told me where to transfer to get on the airport local
The thing I still can't wrap my head around is it seems the Kansai express, operated by JR, still uses the private tracks?
Thankfully JR runs multiple service types to the airport (as do private operators, contributing to the confusion) so I still managed to buy a ticket and get on, but boy howdy I did not know that when I got to the platform and saw no wayfindning indicating as such
One is definitely the metro station, and then there's two heavy rail stations, one JR one private, with the JR station directly connected to the metro. Both serve the airport.
Google maps told me to go to the private one, but because I blindly followed the sings I ended up at the JR one
So something happened today (possibly yesterday) that I am incredibly confused about, and even now trying to research it can't wrap my mind around.
There's two, possibly three or just one, depending on how you count it, stations in Osaka named "Namba"
