Thumbnail Time is back with a simple, peaceful scene of a Tyrannosaurus rex prowling the Cretaceous jungle. The red mark on the leaf in the lower left corner is supposed to be a frog. #sketch #dinosaur #prehistoric #paleoart #art
A family of masks from ancient Mali, Egypt, and Greece. #ancient #african #egyptian #greek #masks #drama #history #art
I know intellectually that playacting is a concept that multiple cultures around the world could have developed on their own, just like pyramids and writing. But knowing the ancient Greeks had commercial links with Africa, I'm tempted to see a connection WRT the masks at least.
Ancient Greek theatrical masks
Dogon men wearing masks in Mali
Ancient Egyptian Anubis mask
You know how ancient Greek drama made heavy use of masks? I can't help but be reminded of all the different masks you find throughout Africa, including ancient Egypt's Anubis masks.
It actually was giving me error messages a few times today, but now it seems to be working for me.
Huh, it's always worked for me.

This is a #referencesheet I made for a future 3D modeling project, using my #originalcharacter Makena of Azania. I want to see if I can turn her into a playable character for the projects in my game design courses. #characterdesign #conceptart #african #blackwoman #womanofcolor #fantasy #art

All I know is that the climate of Cretaceous Australia would have been relatively temperate by Mesozoic standards due to it being closer to the South Pole. A lot of the vegetation would have been temperate rainforest IIRC.
