Our fellow New Yorkers have done a great job annotating the ads so far, but a Quaker-specific graffiti here might be impactful. Something about finding a REAL Friend...?
Rev. Billy preaching in front of the Stop Shopping Choir. A white guy with gray hair wearing a white suit including white wing tip boots (ala a evangelical preacher) holding a microphone in front of benches full of people of a variety of races, ages and genders wearing brightly colored clothes.
Fifteenth Street Meeting has been hosting and organizing some activist-energizing events recently, with more to come. Last week I attended a performance of Reverend Billy and the Stop Shopping Choir that ended the SUN DAY of pro-clean-energy activation. It was ecstatic! Earthalujah!

It took a substantial effort, but @floralashes.bsky.social found a way: “If we are doomed to suffer, maybe we can ensure that there will be love among the suffering.”
Friends Seminary, which shares a complex with 15th Street Meeting (and NY Quarterly Meeting) in NYC, hosts a James Turrell Skyspace on its roof. Tickets to visit in winter/spring 2025 have just become available - reserve soon: www.friendsskyspace.com/e-x-p-e-r-i-...
"Does your Quaker meeting long to have new people attend and become active in the meeting?... how can we truly welcome people to our Quaker communities?" Diane Randall reviews my Pendle Hill Pamphlet, Deep Hospitality, for @friendsjournal.org

NYC Quakers signing in to BlueSky! This is Sarah, a real Quaker person who missed the old Twitter. Nice to be here!
