Every time this tailor posts a photo of their workspace, it looks like their dog is a tailor and he's showing off the garments he made.

Would be quite the thing if Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, and Asim Munir (chief of defence forces) managed to broker a lasting peace deal between Trump and the Iranian leadership.

Then imagine them going on to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump would self combust. 🔥

So who is going to step up and somehow create a new thing for artists, authors, makers, single traders, indie musicians, all the creatives who lost their platforms? We have an audience, we just got cut off when the social networks went useless. Publisher etc still expect us to do marketing. HOW?!

This is a big problem for audiences too - it’s actually really hard work to find what to read next or search for what’s worth watching on the streamers. You end up watching crap just out of tiredness. Trusted recommendations save so much valuable time

This is playing out in the UK. Not abroad - not that that would make it any MORE okay. It’s a horrific prospect. What’s more, not only do we need more people to shout up about it, we need more stringent laws to take this s**t down and prosecute the men involved. Not in five years time. Right now!

My stomach turned inside out. Thought initially it was some vile sick joke, but no it’s all too real apparently. If you’re wondering what I’m blathering on about, think Gisèle Pelicot but on a much bigger scale. Where men encourage other men to r*pe women and men can watch it play out online. 🤮

You’re probably way ahead of me where the latest horrors of this world are concerned. However, you heard about this latest vulgar, heinous nonsense: r*pe academy? Only heard about it over the past couple of days because I’ve seen multiple women and men justifiably kicking off about it.

THIS 👇👇👇 should not only deeply concern BOTH us and industry itself, it should motivate those with the power and influence to alter that landscape, make it a fairer playing field for talented people from all backgrounds.

Some random facts I’ve just read this morning.

UK creative industries are worth £124 billion.

People from privileged backgrounds are 2.5 times more likely to work in the industry than their working class counterparts.

In film, TV and photography just 8.4% employees are from w/c backgrounds.

Bliss. You’re paid to write to your heart’s content, to get it into its best possible shape before releasing it into the big wide world a year later. There’s no rules here either on how many scripts you work your socks off on over a year.

If only production companies could take up this model. 🤭

True. Also works for those who are either/both housebound a lot or have some other chronic illnesses and disabilities. Your imagination can take you anywhere.

Thanks Adele. He really is a sweetheart, albeit I’m very biased where he’s concerned. When I inherited my late mum’s cat he was on meds for 3-4 years. Maybe a bit longer. He was four months shy of his 20th birthday when he passed. xx 😘

Mysterious, dark and foreboding. A heat haze blurs the flashing lights. Our protagonists are caught in an apparent dead end. Can they escape.

Anyway, cracking film. Often recommend it to anyone who’s into screenwriting, directing or film in general.

Haven’t done massive road trips like you guys can do over there, but I used to love long car journeys. The more rural the better.

Funnily enough I listed Duel as one of my influences for a movie script I was writing while at uni. We don’t see the police, only their cars and helicopter hovering.

As much as I like Eastwood definitely prefer Duel. Never forgotten the first I watched it on telly. Amazed we had any arms left on the sofa I gripped that hard. Fantastic movie. Demonstrates what you can do with a very limited cast, a great and simple storyline and fab directing skills.

Cats, especially ginger ones, think they own everything.

(Having said that, my ginger fellow won’t get in anyone’s cars or vans. Thank the gods!)

Indeed. Felt I wanted to post something positive about her today of all days. Particularly after seeing somewhat disparaging comments being posted about her.

He’s going to be on meds for his bladder and arthritis for the rest of his days. As the vet said, “He’s at an age where he’s going to start having regular health issues.” Here’s hoping we have many more painless, happy days with him.

In case it’s not obvious by now, I love the bones off that boy.

Happy to report that the editor-in-chief is making a good recovery. Not quite back to his old self but he’s now able to get up on his pouffe, the sofa, the bed and even the windowsill, albeit a little gingerly. His appetite is almost back to normal. Here he is on pet bed in another room.

Victoria Wood was sheer class. Can't believe its been 10yrs since she passed.

She was awesome. Loved her work to bits.

Come to think of it I believe I did likewise. Only when I hit late teens I began reading reviews prior to seeing anything.

I know. I meant other critics. Don’t get me wrong I’ll read reviews but still make up my own mind.

Watch them. I don’t let critics decide which movies I’m going to see. Some critically acclaimed movies have left me cold, while some they didn’t highly rate I thought were far better.

P.S. To clarify: Not saying you let critics decide for you BTW.

😂 True. It’s equal to someone warning another character not to go into a haunted house alone in movies. “Don’t do it!” They always do.
