We popped into Coventry city centre today to check out The Great Blitz Build — a community project creating a tribute structure honouring the Blitz of 1940.

Today we remember the tragic events of the Coventry Blitz.
We remember all those who lost their lives, and the impact of the Blitz on our city.
Coventry was changed forever.

Lest We Forget.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Peace is such a precious thing.
This week is #TrusteesWeek and we would like to thank all our Trustees for their commitment, guidance and expertise which is second to none.
We are a community organisation and a registered charity run entirely by volunteers.
We will be at FarGo Village Coventry tomorrow for the The Sherbourne Valley Project River Festival Coventry.
It's free to attend and there are so many things to see, do, make and learn! Suitable for all ages.
We had such a lovely day yesterday. So we are doing it all again today! We are open now until 4pm as part of Heritage Open Days.

Thank you to Coventry's Lord Mayor Cllr Rachel Lancaster for visiting the Weaver’s House Open Day on Saturday.
We are open on Saturday 12th July, 10am-4pm.
The Weaver's House is free to visit and there is no need to book in advance.
Find out about the history of this unique working man's house and garden. There will be spinning and weaving demonstrations, and of course, our pop-up tea room.

Today the nation gathers to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day. People will come together to honour those who were involved in the conflict & to hope for lasting peace both at home & abroad

What a lovely day for an open day! Blue skies and sunshine lit up the garden, and the children's wildlife trail was popular with children of all ages

The Weaver’s House is a unique restored medieval working man's house in Spon End, Coventry.
We are free to visit and our open days for 2025 are: 5th April, 10 May, 7 June, 12 July, 2 August and 13 and 14 September (Heritage Open Weekend).
Our first open day of the season is on Saturday 5th April.
We have a wildlife themed trail as a special addition to our April open day.

We spent an enjoyable couple of hours at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry for the Book Extravaganza event today.
Lovely to meet Ken Bonham and see his model buildings. We had to come away with his book, which features The Weaver's House - and it is always a pleasure to chat with Scott Duffin!
