THANK YOU for your generosity. I work hard to make this podcast happen but really, nothing happens without listeners and support. Thank you again, SO MUCH! If you want to contribute to keep the podcast going: buymeacoffee.com/attendancebias
“I witnessed sludge meltdown at Coventry and don’t find pedal effect games interesting” take.
I do like seeing when everyone’s drugs kick in all at the same time. Then I go do the bathroom. The jam doesn’t interest me.
I’ll have to catch up. I’ve had a difficult relationship with SOAMelt since about 2016.
‘99 ambience combined with 2.0 sludge removes any semblance of melody or positivity from that jam. It’s been sludgy for years already.
SOAMelt is going to be unbearable this year.
I love Buzzsprout for distribution. I'm available "wherever you get your podcasts" and it was just by clicking a few buttons on Buzzsprout. My deal is something like $15/mo. for 3 hours' content plus lots of analytics.
Riverside basically advertises as an all-in-one platform, though it was too pricey for me. I don't monetize, so I try to go for whatever is cheap enough to be serviceable for my needs.
Zoom is just one component of my platform. I have four or more separate subscriptions (Buzzsprout hosting, Descript editing, etc). Zoom is the only one that is an annual fee and the only expense to pin down and pay off at once.
THANK YOU to everyone who donated to keep Attendance Bias going! The pod is a labor of love but it ain’t free. If you want to help out with the significant finances, check out the link: buymeacoffee.com/attendancebias
THANK YOU! It really goes a long way.
THANK YOU!!!
It's kind of weird that Trey has a clock on stage in his line of sight that measures time down to the second. I recall him not liking things like that in the past. ;)

@attendancebias.bsky.social FANTASTIC 12/28/96 pod. My first, @guyforget.bengreenfield.com & @willrubenstein.bsky.social too.
Paige is u questionably the MVP. Became Paige Side, Rage Side for life.
Maze!!
There is one point in the DDLJ where it sound like Paige is playing the intro to “Right Now”
His "blues band" J.D. and the Straight Shots played in a tent at the back of a field at Bonnaroo 2006. I watched part of their set so I could heckle him after it was over. He made fun of the fact that I had a disposable camera, then asked if he could take a pic with me. True story.
I just got this email yesterday. Zoom is an essential part of producing Attendance Bias. If you enjoy the pod and want to help keep it going, please donate anything you can here: THANK YOU for your support: buymeacoffee.com/attendancebias

Yes, that’s the universal experience. My hope is to hear everyone’s take on it. The hero’s journey is the same story told a million times. Such it is as: “Here is when I knew I loved phish.”
Excited to announce that @mbird.org has a new way to collect donations with zero fees!
We have a $6,000 grant planned for a school music program in need in Vegas if we can raise the funds. Who can help us make this tour grant for the Sphere run a reality?
Even a small donation helps! #phish
Thank you for listening! And I agree: it’s always a treat to hear about the band in their early-ish days.
Right, but do you pick up the sandwich? I feel like a sandwich of that weight would collapse if you tried to hold it with a toothpick. Sounds amazing but no structural integrity.
New episode tomorrow: Scott Mitchell of @phandesignz.bsky.social breaks down set 2 of 12/29/96 at The Spectrum! Have you ever arrived back at your car after a show and it won't turn over? You're not the only one! Hear all about it and more on Wednesday wherever you get your podcasts!
How is it holding the latkes while they're still hot and greasy?
New episode Wednesday: @phandesignz.bsky.social remembers the "underdog" show of the '96 holiday run: 12/28/96 at The Spectrum! A show that is mostly driven by Page, features some rarities, and came along at the perfect time when he's finishing college, hear Scott tell all about it on Wednesday!
