If a game has cozy vibes but can get pretty scary at night and in certain areas would you like it/play it?

Trying to gauge players comfortability when cozy meets horror.

Don't worry, there are safe places for you to avoid the scary.

What people will sometimes never realize is that the artist journey is more fulfilling to the human soul than a life of turning your back on yourself & your passions.

Keep heart & know many of us are all walking this same journey. Hopefully we find eachother along the way.

You see the world through the lense of introspection, wonder, emotion, dedication & appreciation. Your creations leave you vulnerable & open to judgement.

It's increasingly isolating in a world that tells you to give up on your dreams, to grow up & focus on commercialism.

Artists

Be loud, be visible, be human, you'll find others who see the world the same way you do.

There's a reason why being on an art path can often feel like a very lonely struggle. You are on a journey very few take beyond the initial first steps.

Secrets to succeed in art.

1. Just do. Stop thinking & talking about it. Create!

2. Don't get demotivated by other people's art. Get inspired!

3. Build community not enemies. Motivate eachother!

4. Don't stop learning, improving or trying. Be determined!

5. Try to have fun!

It's very common for artists to doubt themselves, I'm constantly questioning & criticizing my abilities.

It's important to perservere. Push through negative feelings, keep learning & improving. Don't stop creating. Acknowledge your accomplishments no matter how small & forgive your failures.

Vibes are pretty chill. I mostly follow artists so most of what I see on here is art, so that's nice. ๐Ÿ˜

Game dev is always a big learning process. I'm buried under a mountain of things I'm teaching myself, it's a lot of fun though, keeps the mind busy.

Making worlds is so fun but so time consuming. I have the one we are building out for our game. One I've been writing a novel for for like a decade & one I'm developping as a side thing that might be a future game for after, all 3 worlds are dramatically different from eachother, keeps things fresh.

2026 is going to be a good year for artists!

I've noticed it's been significantly worse/mainstream this year vs before. It's escalated from fringe opinion to part of the marketting.

It really feels like the tech industry (AI mostly) has been extremely petty/malicious towards artists this year. A lot of ads and features in software I see now specifically feel like they are straight up saying fuck artists.

Big Tech Needs $2 Trillion In AI Revenue By 2030 or They Wasted Their Capex As I've established again and again, we are in an AI bubble, and no, I cannot tell you when the bubble will pop, because we're in the stupidest financial era since the great financial crisis โ€” though,...

Premium newsletter: Meta, Google, Amazon and Microsoft need $2 Trillion in AI revenue by 2030 or they've wasted their capex. The massive cost of building data centers and constant decay in value of expensive-to-run GPUs may make AI profits impossible to achieve.

that is something generative AI will never be able to replicate, it is a barrier between the creator & the creation, not a bridge. Algorithms trained to hollowly reproduce patterns to mass produce derivative content in service of capitalism, automating the human experience.

Every one of us helps shape society & culture NOT just the billionaires & corporations. Those creating are not the ones funding creators, creation comes from labor & those brave enough to bring their experiences, ideas, stories, history, emotions & perspective into reality. 1/2

My position

-Gen AI & Llms are built on exploitation & theft of labor/data.
-AI surveillance, military targetting & policing has high risk of misuse.
-Lots of Enviro & energy issues.
-AI Deepfakes, misinfo, bias, psychosis, scams & hallucination are not good.
-AI regulations & safety are needed.

Hey Yara, your paintings are really cool, you made a good decision, love the vibrant colors! Also game master sounds super fun, do you do it at your local game shop?

Hey Rikki, love your style, I come from an animation background so I appreciate the stylization, expressions & shape language you do. Also jealous of your woods lifestyle. As a city boy for 2 decades now, maybe one day I'll return to the forest & have many furry friends, you're living the dream. ๐ŸฆŠ
