Today is World Curlew Day and I marked it with Cathy the Curlew and David Gray. The Curlew is now a red-listed species and many live in the East Neuk. This event was an important opportunity to take action to secure the long-term future of the species.

Wonderful to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Kate Kennedy Spring Procession in St Andrews this weekend. It was also lovely to meet the current president and vice president of the Kate Kennedy Club at Friday evening's dinner and then attend the community activities & the parade on Saturday.
The Mandelson situation has been going south for Starmer for sometime.
I'm incredulous that he hasn't sat down and established exactly how bad it was before now.
Not knowing at the time is one thing.
Claiming to not know now is something else entirely.
A very good overview of DV vetting within the civil service from @calummillerld.bsky.social here 👇
During a debate on modernising Parliament, I spoke about the importance of ensuring Parliament’s traditions are balanced with making its work accessible. I also highlighted the importance of the UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Programme which a head teacher from North East Fife is part of.
Earlier today, I highlighted several accessibility challenges within Parliament and stressed the importance of addressing them as part of the restoration plans. I also raised concerns about how limited accessible options have affected people’s careers here - something that should not be happening.
It was an honour to host the @panspandasuk.bsky.social Youth Board in Parliament yesterday where they led an excellent roundtable discussion with MPs to help raise awareness of the condition.
Here I am with CEO of PANS PANDAS UK, Vicky Burford, and their mascot, Glitch.
This morning I highlighted the devastating humanitarian crisis in Sudan which has just entered its fourth year, and raised concerns about the impact of Trump's war on the UK economy and what that means for the cost of living. youtu.be/IgRaGqK5QiE
Less than two weeks to go until I take on the London Marathon! 🏃♀️➡️
I’m absolutely thrilled to have reached my fundraising target for Fife Carers Centre. Any support for PANS PANDAS UK would be hugely appreciated - you can donate here: 2026tcslondonmarathon.enthuse.com/pf/wendy-cha...
@amnestyuk.bsky.social and @gaps-network.bsky.social recently published a briefing on the ways in which the UK is not fulfilling its Refugee Convention obligations to Afghan women. I met with representatives to further discuss today.

Great to meet with representatives from the People's Postcode Lottery yesterday and discuss the support they're giving to organisations across North East Fife.
Lobular breast cancer is vastly under-researched, and as a result it can be missed by clinicians as it fails to be detected on a mammogram or by ultra sound. I asked the Government to commit to funding for the Moonshot Project and secure further research.
This #BowelCancerAwarenessMonth I’m supporting Bowel Cancer UK’s #PassItOn campaign.
They’re asking everyone to help raise vital awareness so everyone has the best chance of an early diagnosis.
Get involved today and #PassItOn.
Yesterday on Newsnight, we discussed Trump and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as the impact of his latest AI-generated image.
As part of Scottish Water's ongoing work in Lower Largo, they will be temporarily closing the below footpath from Monday 27 April for approximately four weeks. This is for the safety of the public and their operatives.
Less than two weeks to go until I run the London Marathon for two incredible organisations 🏃♀️

Scotland has so much going for it, but right now under the SNP, it feels like our country simply isn’t working.
Scotland needs change with fairness at its heart.
On 7 May you can vote for it by backing the Scottish Liberal Democrats on the peach-coloured regional ballot.
The SNP have hired less than 1 in 10 of the GPs they promised in 2017.
We would hire more specialist staff to work alongside GPs and manage patient need, and enable pharmacists to do more prescribing, to help get everyone the first-rate healthcare they need when they need it.
I joined Isabelle for a bus journey after she raised concerns about the challenges she faces as a wheelchair user. The trip highlighted a range of issues, from broken equipment to obstacles on pavements that make reaching bus stops difficult. You can read more about it here: buff.ly/ovCXUdP
It was a busy recess meeting with constituents and visiting local businesses across the constituency. You can read more about it in my latest newsletter: www.wendychamberlain.scot/so/66Prsv_ky...

Ferries launched with painted on windows.
Mass disruption with ferries out of action over Easter.
An inadequate compensation scheme.
Communities that rely on ferries, like Argyll and Bute, have been failed by the SNP.
Trump, Putin, Farage… your boy took a hell of a beating.
Congratulations to the people of Hungary for showing that populist extremists can be defeated – even despite Donald Trump’s best efforts.
Access to cash and in‑person banking services have declined across North East Fife in recent years. I've resubmitted an application for a banking hub here in Cupar and have launched a petition so that we can show the high level of local support.

It was an honour to celebrate the re-opening of the Lower Laing Museum yesterday with The Newburgh Ancestry and History Society, marking the 130th anniversary of the historic Laing building.

It was great representing @scotlibdems.org.uk at the Food and Drink Federation Scotland hustings event.
Representing North East Fife, with its world‑renowned producers, coastal communities and thriving hospitality sector, I take great pride in advocating for Scotland’s food and drink industry.
