What a shame. Will need to remove from the map

Work has started on Westbourne Terrace in @citywestminster.bsky.social, the fourth project started by them in the last 6 months:
- C43 (Hyde Pk-Marylebone)
- C51 (Marylebone-St John’s Wood)
- C63 (Cleveland St)
Central London had a good 2025 and is set to have a good 2026 too!
The SafeCycleLDN Map has just reached 1.5 million views. Thanks to all my supporters, with a special shout out to @lukealsford.bsky.social, who‘s recent Metro article brought new people to the map

Thanks. Just updated these
Hi Adam,
I can’t seem to see messages on Bluesky, so either write them in a message here, or DM me on Twitter if you have that? But will look into the stuff you mention in Enfield
Best
Be careful Londoners. The roads seem more icy today than they did on Monday or Tuesday. I’ve seen about 10 falls since I left home 15 mins ago. Cycle slowly, look out for black ice and try and use roads that have been gritted!
From its creation (over five years ago) it's really made amazing progress and hopefully over the next five years, will continue to help Londoners find safe ways to get across our amazing city
Over the last few months I've done a massive update to the Safe Cycling in London Map (now called the SafeCycleLDN Map): bit.ly/378amr0
Thank you to @joncstone, Stephen Biggins and my many other followers for your wonderful suggestions
Read my 2025 New Infrastructure Review, where I look at the last year of cycleway and healthy streets delivery in London: safecycleldn.com/2026/01/02/2...
There are now 1.5 million daily cycle journeys in London, a 43% increase since 2019
www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
And hopefully some of these trips have been made safer by the Safe Cycling in London Map (bit.ly/378amr0), which has now been viewed over 1.25 million times!
Finally. Only 3 years late!
And yet despite that, TfL have put Cycleway sings as far as South Ken
And quite a few others are now complete:
- Essex Road crossing
- Pentonville Rd crossing
- Crowndale Rd cycle tracks
- Sussex Gardens wands
- Northumberland Av wands
- Leather Lane LTN
- Bucknall St filter
- Waterloo filters
After a few years of very little, there are now many healthy streets schemes under construction in inner London, such as:
- St Paul’s Gyratory
- Lambeth Br (pic 1)
- C43
- Nine Elms Ln
- Queenstown Rd
- St John’s St LTN (pic 2)
- Keeley St (pic 3)
- Adeline Pl
- Concert Hall App
- Battersea Br north
Presumably these two C62s will connect one day, but very unclear what that route would be.
My issue with it is that there is already a north Peckham to Kennington route proposed: C36. I sometimes think nobody at TfL is actually in charge of numbering. There’s been some strange decisions recently..
Isn’t C43 going along George St?
Two large projects that will soon follow in late April are Nine Elms Lane (Wandsworth) and St Paul's Gyratory (City of London)
And another in July (if they don't delay it again!) will be the long awaited Cleveland Street in Westminster
A couple of Central London’s cycle projects are finally underway:
- Lambeth Bridge
- Queenstown Rd
- Crowndale Rd
- Essex Rd crossing (right image)
- Pentonville Rd crossing
Also three roads are getting their temp tracks made permanent
- Grays Inn Rd
- York Way (left image)
- St Pancras Way
🎉Good news, everyone!
Construction is set to begin this summer on the long awaited Streatham Hill changes which will include protected cycle lanes, new pedestrian crossings and improvements to bus lanes.
