Mostly it's just that young people don't get penalized for poor language quality. The older you get the more language quality becomes a factor you get evaluated on. So you have to improve with age.

Reading about the leaked code, clearly Anthropic aren't. And it shows, Claude Code is such a mess to use.

The awkward thing is I can use up a 20€ subskription in 5 days, but I struggle to use more than 10% of a 200€ subscription. I cannot review ai code faster than that.

I have a hard time believing that someone who actually uses upp a 200€ subskription is actually reviewing the code.

Oh I already do this using regular Svelte. You can print to pdf using Playwright.

I wrote a few wrapper components, so is easy to write multipage reports. They handle the logic of figuring out how many line items to put on each page. That's the only tricky bit. Rest is just regular css and html.

Sweet/acidic fruit + salty/savory meat is one of the all-time great flavor combinations.

Conceptually, pineapple on pizza and tomato on pizza are doing exactly the same thing: making the cured pork topping shine.

I'm going to tell you something you're going to hate. It's because Google ranks YouTube videos above other content, because Alphabet makes sweet advertisement money when Google sends people to YouTube. AI summaries even prefer YouTube as sources. Welcome to SEO anno 2026.

Updating too often = pain
Updating too seldom = pain

Updating every 2 to 3 months is the least pain of both worlds solution.

Still no Safari support. This thing is like 10 years old by now.

It's really great for deferring low priority loading tasks.

I love this framing from Matteo Collina (excerpt from his newsletter), about who owns and is responsible for AI generated code. Print and stick on your wall.

PAEI Model – Build Successful Teams Dr Ichaz Adizes' PAEI Model describes the traits and attributes of four distinct roles that a manager or team must fulfil to be well–balanced and successful.

It's a cycle so old it has a name. It was well described by the PAEI model in the 1970s.

E.g it was never about typing.

But interestingly many of the best devs think typing is a core part of it (vim & mechanical keyboard users).

It feels similar to how top athletes can have lots of superstitions about what is causing their success, like wearing certain items or colors etc.

Lol. You can't be too careful on social media. I think I have now mostly learned not to engage if I think people aren't being genuine. But I also get disappointed by people too often who seemed genuinely like they were here to engage, but who turned out to just want to fight and feel superior.

Brooks's law - Wikipedia

Brook's law applies just as much as ever.

"Adding manpower to a late software project makes it later."

Now we just have llmpower to worry about as well as manpower.

You gave two categories: Inexperienced or lying.

I posit there's a third: Failing upward.

It only exists in businesses where there is an overflow of resources. Where the fat doesn't get trimmed.

I sincerely believe these people saying they are being 10x more productive using coding agents. I know exactly who I am thinking of. I've seen their product and their code. It's as quality as the Claude Code coding agent (not the LLM).

Yes I am insulting their standards.
