Connor freaking McDavid…wow.
Yes. A couple from Montreal.
I have a similar pair in Acacia
Wrapping up this pair with an absolute gem of a “classic-template” French pattern paring knife in a finely ground 52100 carbon steel.
The handles are g.l._hansenandsons G-Carta in a “Mexican Blanket” pattern.

Que?
Yes.
Yes it’s early but the Giants being 2nd to last in run differential behind the ChiSox doesn’t bode well
They’re very sporty. Thank you 🙏
“Mexican Blanket” pattern G-Carta adds a huge helping of presence to this just finished cheffie
The blade on this one is Migaki-finished 52100 with a flame tempered spine
These ultra-thin pieces have a western profile w/a decidedly Japanese style blade geometry

lol.
You can do alot with a properly blunted Craftsman screwdriver.
Deeply quilted Acacia wood adorns this Full-Tang Cheffie.
The Migaki finished blade features a decorative flame-tempered spine.
The blade is 315mm Overall.

The Carolina Shucker
Designed to be the best all-species, all-technique, Oyster Knife
As always with a Bohler N690 stainless blade, here with the machine ground finish.
The handle is purple-dyed Hempwood. A fantastic material from a zero-waste producer.

Bocote is a beautiful hardwood from Chiapas & Campeche in Mexico. It’s a bit denser than a hard maple and smells like dill-pickles when you’re sanding it.
The blade is the Alma Knife Co “Carolina Shucker” in and etched/stonewashed finish.

As sustainable as it is practical & beautiful. This is Hemp. Made from offcut material from a midwestern subfloor mill it’s mixed with a dye/resin and pressed.
The blade is the Alma Knife Co “Carolina Shucker” of Bohler N690 stainless in my machine ground finish

It’s getting harder and harder to find Ebony that’s this uniformly “piano black” and it’s always a pleasant surprise to realize you’ve got some
Rich, nearly perfect “Piano-Black” Gabon Ebony with stainless pins on a Carolina Shucker in Bohler N690 Stainless

My wife’s birthday
I have a 3am Mastiff.
Drunk……
I’ve got a magnum of Blanc d’noir waiting
That’s just an incredible headline
Nothing like the peak irony of St. Patrick’s Day: watching people who want "closed borders" celebrate by chugging green beer and eating corned beef —a meal that only exists because Irish immigrants in NYC slums were too poor to afford pork and had to buy leftover beef from their Jewish neighbors.
Thanks so much 🙏
Western Filet knife, medium-flex, in AEB-L stainless steel.
The handles are a spectacular California Golden Trout pattern G-Carta from g.l._hansenandsons

Merchant vessel Seaway Hawk transporting decommissioned U.S. Navy Avenger-class Mine Countermeasures Ships USS Devastator, USS Dextrous, USS Gladiator and USS Sentry in the Delaware Bay to unload in Philadelphia tomorrow - March 9, 2026 SRC: FB- Delaware River Shipping / Andy Wyrick 📷
We live in a world beyond parody. The United States has had four minesweeper vessels in the Persian Gulf for 35 years. Just yesterday these ships arrived in Philadelphia to be decommissioned, a day before Iran announces that they are mining the Strait of Hormuz.
