More furious discussion at my anti-natal class last week about the spelling and whether I should even be there, given my views.

I’m 62.
Cartoon. Two men shaking hands, one is saying to the other “Ah, Mr Featherstonehaugh! I'm so glad this is written as I have no idea how to pronounce your name.”

I’ll never forget watching The Wicker Man with my outer Hebridean mum. “I just don’t know where there got all that wicker from”

In the UK we call them lifts but in the US they call them elevators, because we’re raised differently.
The big reveal at the end of The Office (UK) is that it had been a romcom all along. A perfect example of @gralefrit.bsky.social’s distinction between plot and story. It’s the central thing we care about that drives our interest. That’s the story. The plot is the vehicle that gets us there.

Box of Lidl Aromata Non-Stick Baking Paper Sheets. Along the top edge of the box are the words 'Perfect baking results' (in quotes, as presented here).
Going to ask Lidl what their source is for this quote of praise on their non-stick baking sheets. Colm Tóibín or Stephen Fry, I expect.

It’s a lovely little church, beloved by architects for pulling off the trick of fitting itself onto an awkward site without compromising its integrity.
I was just pleased to see his tumblr post was still up there. And that he called me a twitter celebrity ;)
He actually did this fairly early on, there were loads more. I asked people to tell me their word and where they heard it so he was able to map them.
