Should’ve gotten rid of it completely sooner. Gave anyone on there ample time to follow me elsewhere anyways Κ…οΌˆβ—žβ€Ώβ—ŸοΌ‰Κƒ

Also sorry for bein so inactive I’ve been trying to limit social media usage for awhile and been focusing on other things.

Yeah, I worked in customer support and, if it's a 'peak' of one day, they will not care. They'll wipe their hands and say "ok, volumes are back to normal, it's fixed"
If after a week they are still receiving pressure... Then they'll begin to get nervous

we are going to need to keep up this 'yelling at payment processors' energy for more than just today

Ideally, we will need to keep up this pressure over a span of a few weeks

As many people as possible, each making 2-4 calls a day, for a few weeks, is going to make the biggest impact

8 months ago 4256 2540 20 25

Oh yeah, it goes without saying; I'm not even American and thisis affecting me.

I feel like even if you are not American, you should call in and voice your concerns to those card companies. If this is a issue that affects everyone internationally, they need to get international complaints!

I know we're upset about itch, but they're not the only ones

Payment processors harassed companies bc of a 1,000 email hate campaign

But we can EASILY top 1,000!

I prewrote an email + got the contact info - you just have to send!

i worked with our director RJ to put together a web page compiling phone numbers, emails, and petitions where you can make your voice heard - protect queer artists and sex workers and tell payment processing companies to end their awful policies harming safe spaces for creative art

Some of the members of this group were also responsible for the porn ban on Gumroad and the increasing content restrictions on Patreon, and they've already named itchio as another target.

Adding this here so people and easily see this post with it. These are the groups I found that are putting pressure on banks and are actually successful.

So we know who to blame for getting payment processing companies to go after furries and kicking them from only fans, fansly, and steam.

It is a group called β€œcollective shout”. Furry adult content is being falsely labeled bestiality by payment processing companies. This group got them to do that.

I need to be perfectly clear that Bernie Sanders voted for FOSTA/SESTA. We could have literally had a Bernie Sanders presidency with a supermajority and he and his base still would not have actually acknowledged, much less given a shit about, payment processors fumigating public spaces of speech

Please sign!!! Credit card companies should not be policing content. The effect is the criminalization of LGBTQ+ voices.

listen if you see the news wrt Steam's updated content policy and want to start SOMEWHERE to make a difference and put some pressure on Visa/Mastercard, there are worse places to start than here.

sign the petition, spread it around, get other folks to sign

Age verification is deanonymization,
Deanonymization is censorship.

The Supreme Court is now taking away your right to anonymously *read* a form of speech. If speaking can mean that your readers have to subject themselves to potential consequences to read it, how can there be freedom of speech?

In a 6-3 decision gutting 1st amendment freedoms, Clarence Thomas(!!!) upheld the age verification restrictions on porn sites in Free Speech Coalition v. Paxton. He applied a lessened intermediate scrutiny saying the burden on speech is incidental.

Supreme Court allows law requiring age checks for porn sites Pornhub was among the plaintiffs challenging a Texas law that requires users of adult sites to submit personal information proving they are 18 or older.

this is bad in a variety of ways that have nothing to do with porn and everything to do with expanding invasive surveillance of every single Internet user including all adults www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Patreon is in here, in case any artists wanted to gloat. We're targets too, and we need to stand with sex workers. ESPECIALLY if you *don't* do NSFW art. You are not safe either - vanilla, sfw furries are just as deviant in the eyes of these freaks as porn.

10 months ago 900 674 2 0

so, in addition to KOSA & many other things, if you find the internet useful & don’t want to see queer people placed on the sex offender registry for being inherently pornographic, IODA is worth your 5 minutes & calls to your senators and house rep.

It’s kill the bill or be killed by the bill. Let’s send a message to our elected officials (phone call or email) that we will not be censored. And that #KOSA will harm kids instead of protecting them!

11 months ago 41 24 0 0

Trump is already using every available tool to punish opposition + Project 2025 has explicitly laid out how they’ll use #KOSA to censor information online that they don't like.

We can't let this happen!

OK, so this week I've done a total of 9 calls total to my reps and senators, with 10 emails sent throughout the week, all while dealing with a long lasting cough and being somewhat sick. All to tell my reps to oppose the shitty internet bills like SCREEN Act, The Interstate Obscenity Definition Act, KOSA, and more.
___
I just got finished with my college courses effectly today and I want to be able to rest for the rest of the week as I've done a lot.
Now, I know basically all of us are either furries, LGBTQIA+, apart of some minority group, and enjoy looking at stuff like art or porn online.
I need all of you to fucking do something alright, it's not much. Call and email your reps to oppose these shitty bills, it only takes a max of 1-2 minutes and guess what, if you say you can't do calls without being shaky guess what, they still need to listen to you and you can say the most basic shit ever, so pick up that DAMN phone.
literally all you need to do is say "Hello, I'm [Insert Name here] and I would like to rely a message to my [Rep/Senator] to oppose the following bills, The Screen Act, Interstate Obscenity Definiition Act, and KOSA, and any acts to dismantle section 230 as these are all censorship bills and would violate our first amendment rights and would pose massive privacy risks and would not protect children online."
then if you have more to add on then you can do that, you can even fax and email what you said to them.
Do not put your fucking head in the sand right now if you fucking enjoy the internet and what it gives you.
Do not ignore this shit and then get upset if they take away your goon material, furry art, etc. away from you.
I need yall to be fucking aware and take some sort of action rather than partake in inaction by sitting around.
That is all. I'm fucking tired and I hope some of yall will take the time to do this today, and even spread the word.

Message that I put in a discord server regarding the latest internet bills that I thought would be good to share here.
KOSA, Interstate Obscienty Definition Act, SCREEN Act, and more will fuck up online spaces for artists and everyone that enjoy the things they find online.
Do not let this slide.

11 months ago 32 22 1 1

KOSA will absolutely be used to actively target and discriminate against LGBTQIA+ people; it will be used to frame literally *Existing* as an LGBTQIA+ person as "pornographic;" you can know this because Blackburn has admitted it out loud.

Do not let this fucking bill pass. Call your senators, now.

Stop KOSA KOSA is a censorship bill that won’t make kids safe. Instead, it'll put all internet users at risk, especially youth. If you believe in a free and open internet, tell your lawmakers to reject #KOSA!

KOSA is being reintroduced today.

It's always been a dangerous censorship bill.

But in this environment, with Trump weaponizing every aspect of the Federal government to suppress speech he doesn't like, KOSA is a catastrophic attack on human rights.

We have to stop it.

Don’t know who to call?

Now the Reconciliation Bill is terrible, so a lot of groups will be (rightly) fighting to kill the worst parts of it. We MUST mobilize as well! We cannot allow lawlessness to be the rule of the land.

Another reminder that internet censorship bills will only hurt the artists you enjoy and the content you enjoy online.
This is important as currently various states are trying to pass Online ID laws, and more.
