i worked with our director RJ to put together a web page compiling phone numbers, emails, and petitions where you can make your voice heard - protect queer artists and sex workers and tell payment processing companies to end their awful policies harming safe spaces for creative art

Some of the members of this group were also responsible for the porn ban on Gumroad and the increasing content restrictions on Patreon, and they've already named itchio as another target.

Adding this here so people and easily see this post with it. These are the groups I found that are putting pressure on banks and are actually successful.

So we know who to blame for getting payment processing companies to go after furries and kicking them from only fans, fansly, and steam.

It is a group called “collective shout”. Furry adult content is being falsely labeled bestiality by payment processing companies. This group got them to do that.

I need to be perfectly clear that Bernie Sanders voted for FOSTA/SESTA. We could have literally had a Bernie Sanders presidency with a supermajority and he and his base still would not have actually acknowledged, much less given a shit about, payment processors fumigating public spaces of speech

OK, so this week I've done a total of 9 calls total to my reps and senators, with 10 emails sent throughout the week, all while dealing with a long lasting cough and being somewhat sick. All to tell my reps to oppose the shitty internet bills like SCREEN Act, The Interstate Obscenity Definition Act, KOSA, and more. ___ I just got finished with my college courses effectly today and I want to be able to rest for the rest of the week as I've done a lot. Now, I know basically all of us are either furries, LGBTQIA+, apart of some minority group, and enjoy looking at stuff like art or porn online. I need all of you to fucking do something alright, it's not much. Call and email your reps to oppose these shitty bills, it only takes a max of 1-2 minutes and guess what, if you say you can't do calls without being shaky guess what, they still need to listen to you and you can say the most basic shit ever, so pick up that DAMN phone. literally all you need to do is say "Hello, I'm [Insert Name here] and I would like to rely a message to my [Rep/Senator] to oppose the following bills, The Screen Act, Interstate Obscenity Definiition Act, and KOSA, and any acts to dismantle section 230 as these are all censorship bills and would violate our first amendment rights and would pose massive privacy risks and would not protect children online." then if you have more to add on then you can do that, you can even fax and email what you said to them.
