A follow up. Made it a little further into the book, listening to the main character complain for the sake of complaining, apparently, because they took no action to fix their problems. Then, they come out with some "mothers are stronger than women who have not given birth" shit, and I closed it.
Apropos of the book I am currently reading: don't write a character that spends the first half of the book complaining about their life. That isn't compelling character development. It's ok to have a down day. It's ok to bitch and complain about it. But please consider the reader :) #books #reading

Yeah, there was one from this year. Pretty high budget with a decent director. Probably worth a look.
Have you watched the mini-series? I need to see if I can get my hands on a copy of that.
How was it? The adaptations of The Three Musketeers have been fantastic, so I'm excited for this. I just worry that it won't have enough time to honor the book.
Could either scan them as individual images and then post them, or if they are already digital, upload them to a hosting service like Google Drive and then link them. If you really want to get into it, I'd highly recommend making a website yourself and posting them there, and linking it here.

Yeah, it stretched for way too long, and having the main character in the situation that they were made it uninteresting to me because there was no mystery to it. The only question I had was if they were going to do the "right" thing, which I didn't really care too much about, either.
Just watched Juror #2. Gotta say, not a fan. The premise and cast were wasted on a lackluster execution. There was a good film in there, somewhere, but the writing and directing weren't right for what it was trying to do. Also, not near enough screen time for J. K. Simmons.
