Luxus für mich ist eine Wohnung mit Parkettboden, Spülmaschine und Fenster nach draußen 💖 ist vielleicht normal in Deutschland, aber im Ausland vermisse ich das schon ein bisschen
When I took Chinese traditional painting classes as a child, our teacher made us paint Chinese cabbage over and over again and I truly hated it
Oh but now this makes me want to eat some pumpkin soup out of a bread bowl...

saw this post and started wondering if the professional food appropriation fighter had commented on this instance yet, and lo and behold they had indeed come out of the woodwork for this fine occasion
I feel like I am slowly going insane; I've seen so many people take this tweet at face value today, when to me it is very obviously satire?!
what an incredible way of engaging with poetry!
Devastating news. Her book "No Shortcuts: Organizing for Power" is an absolute must-read, and I think we'd be in a better place if more people read and engaged with the concepts she outlines.
MC Michael Crow To You 4:19 PM From Arizona State University Office of the President IVERSIT STATE 1885 To the ASU faculty and staff: Earlier this week, Dr. David Boyles, an instructor in the ASU English Department, was followed, harassed, pushed and injured by two men identified by Turning Point USA as their "reporter" and "cameraman." I'd like to share with you some of my views about this matter. It is astounding to me that individuals from Turning Point USA would wait for an ASU instructor to come out of his class to follow him, harass him and ultimately shove him to the ground, bloodying his face. Cowards that they are and so confident in the legality and appropriateness of their actions, the Turning Point USA "reporter" and "cameraman" then ran away from the scene before police arrived. This is the kind of outrageous conduct that you would expect to see from bullies in a high school cafeteria. I spoke with Dr. Boyles about what transpired when he was walking from his class to his

I admittedly hardly know what threads is, but in terms of bluesky, I think the invite codes turned joining into something desirable and kind of "exclusive" (similar to Clubhouse back in the day), rather than just another random app you register an account on
When life gives you a sea of capitalist bitterness, don't pour it into bottles of social reformist lemonade!

I think the introduction of the four day work week is one of the most pressing issues of our time, with the potential of advancing degrowth as well as addressing climate change and the care crisis
I love how they say it "jazzes up" tourist's visits, that really sums up everything wrong with the Chinese tourism industry in a nutshell. Instead of giving me idk... giant chestnuts made of concrete, maybe just let me climb a mountain in peace without making me buy a ticket?
sooo will we eventually get community notes on here too? 🙏 @bsky.app
Thank you!
all clothing swaps I ever attended had far more clothing donated than taken, and this close-minded regulating of mutual aid just goes to show what a fucked up perception of human nature most people have
nothing frustrates me more than clothing swap parties that are like "you can take one piece of clothing for each piece you bring!" when many people are desperate to get rid of old clothing & don't even want new clothing, whereas those that really need new clothing usually don't have anything to swap
can someone explain this to me? 😅

Ah, perhaps you are comparing with bicycle use in the US, whereas I am comparing it to Europe? Would you say that bicycle use has changed since you last lived there?
honestly kind of sad to see how rare bicycles are in Taiwanese cities compared to scooters, considering that a big portion of the journeys taken by scooter (ie. short intra-city rides) could easily be done by bike
