Reflecting on a fantastic time at #LavLang30 in Brighton. Great to meet with colleagues and discuss current research in lavender languages, and present my work in progress PhD project on the identity construction of lesbian youth on TikTok 🦩🏳️‍🌈

Attended a fantastic talk today from SAYiT on ‘The Subversive History of the Drag King’. Great to see so many people attend this important part of queer history! We even got to see Vesta Tilley’s shoes, worn during her male impersonation costume, now displayed on exhibition at Weston Park Museum!

@christianilbury.bsky.social tagging you in this as I’m not sure if you know it’s here as well as Twitter. Really interested in your discussion about memetic discourse styles!
