Today is the 250th anniversary of the publication of Adam Smith’s the #WealthofNations, in which he argued that free trade & free markets were a far better way of organising the global economy than imperial domination, brute force & tariff protection. It seems that we still have a lot to learn.

My message to fellow feminists: modesty culture is not our saviour - it will not deliver equality. It is a Trojan horse. While it promises to help women, it hurts women. Across the world, it constrains women’s work, health, safety & schooling. #MyBodyMyChoice is the only answer.
