Another recent cartoon. Based on an idea by the great Cody Goodfellow.

Müsste ich nochmal genau nachschauen, aber Mat Brinkman und Hans Rickheit fallen mir gerade ein. Gab aber noch einige andere.

Considering some of the contributors from back then are now well-known names in comics, I guess the jams would be of interest to some comics historians, but sadly they’re probably lost in time by now.

throwback to 2005: 3 panels from one of many jam comix I participated in on the now long defunct @comicsjournal.bsky.social online forum around 20 years ago. There‘s some panels by other drawers missing in between mine, of course.

Octobriana probably doesn't need an explanation, but she is a famous fake soviet super heroine. Fake meaning that the comics that she supposedly appeared in never existed and were invented as part of a hoax by Petr Sadecký in 1971.

What many don't know is that instead, it was actually caused by perpetual exploitation and rigid class stratification. So, as Karl is saying here, the Morlocks are indeed literally what’s left of the working class.

The nerdy joke here is, that in HG Wells’ novel “The Time Machine”, the big reveal is (spoiler alert!) that what caused the human species to split up into the beautiful but stupid Eloi, and the cannibalistic Morlocks, wasn’t nuclear war or a eugenic breeding, as shown in the movie adaptions.

The first couple of panels from episode 2 of "Living on Leviathan", a socio-political alien comic series I started a while ago. It will soon appear both on the pages of Cheap/Death 2 by @bkberlin.bsky.social and the upcoming issue of Zone5300 (in Dutch)
