They tend to do the same things I do. Investigate a case, and then handle it appropriately... usually through violence. That's my least favorite part of the job. I'd rather not fight at all. Alas, it's necessary to achieve my goals.
You'd be right. The closest thing I have is that sometimes the Seven Association will contract me for work. Other than that, I run solo.

Fame? You give me too much credit. It just took a lot of money. As long as you have money, you can get pretty much anything. Took me saving on my bullet costs for a few months. I'm admittedly not the best at budgeting.
It's from a rather high-end tailor near my office. Presentation is key for high-grade fixers, or so I've heard. It also provides plenty of protection, too.
Uh, you try... I don't know, taking it to a workshop or something? They'd know weaponry a whole lot better than I do. Really, weapons and violence just aren't things I enjoy.
I mostly do like, "criminal" stuff. Murder, theft, you know. But, I'd be glad to try and help with whatever you need, I suppose.

About myself? Well, I run my own solo fixer office, though I prefer not to really see it like that. Really, I'm an investigator more than anything else. Like a detective. I've been doing this for a few years now. It's not quite my ideal job, but it is what it is. Gotta do what you gotta do.
Both jobs and motivation are getting hard to come by. Should anyone just want to chat, I would be more than happy to.
Then again, I'm not too great of a businessman either. Rarely ever make a profit due to the bullet costs.
I used to be a whole lot better at interacting casually with people. I suppose that's just what running a business does. Still, it does get lonely.
