The Church is BOTH an institution with Christ Jesus as the foundation AND a movement of the Holy Spirit who enlivens the Body for the Mission of God.
To emphasize one over the other is to no longer be talking about the Church.
Pray for peace to prevail. I am praying this is a bluff. But even the threat of committing war crimes and genocide amounts to a devaluing of the imago dei, the image of God. God help us if he actually carries it out.

"Lord" - We make our requests known to the only one who knows us deeply.
"the one you love" - Our requests are not based on our love or service to God but based on his love and sacrifice for us.
