Four decorative golden frames on a light blue wall. In the middle frame, on a rainbow background there's a text that reads Queer Art We Love for World Art Day. Another frame shows Frida Kahlo's painting "Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird". Two other frames show colorful abstract art.
Happy World Art Day! Our rec lists tend to be a bit book-centric, so we thought this’d be a great chance to share some artists and artworks we love. You can check out the list of queer artworks we loved, and their artists, here: duckprintspress.com/2026/04/15/q...
A banner with text that reads Ducks in a Row | Duxxx in a Row, Curated Collections of Queer Stories. Beside this are two mock-ups of books, their cover titles matching the text. Duxxx shows art of a line of people sunning themselves on the beach while reading, and Ducks shows a group of people cuddling in a pillowfort while one of them reads aloud.
HAPPY LAUNCH DAY! Our Kickstarter for DUCKS IN A ROW and DUXXX IN A ROW has gone live. Over 40 stories by our queer creators, collected in two lovely volumes for the first time. Check out the campaign, and boosts of this post are very appreciated!

A blue graphic with an outline of the United States. Red and white text reads: CALL. National Book Banning Bill Proposed in US House of Reps. Tell your rep: Vote no on H.R. 7661. Because the government has no business dictating what books our kids read. Authors Against Book Bans – Freedom to Read, Freedom to Write
Whether you’re a parent, a child, or a book-loving citizen, we all agree: the government has no right telling us what we and our children are permitted to read. HR 7661 is on the move through the US Congress. Grab this script - action.everylibrary.org/callhr7661 - and call your rep today!
I like the way she thinks.
I went roller skating yesterday for the first time in… we’ll say 12 years, though that was ice skating… and it was Awesome! Truly. Moving my body in fun ways is still somewhat new to me, but what a joy!
One week left, 40 stories. Buy both TPBs and that's US$1.12/story, and there are *so* many awesome stories in both volumes. Grab a bookmark too, and discover some new authors and wonderful worlds. <3
(seriously, _so many good stories_ in both volumes)
E’s for emphasis!
Me! I'm on it! So if you're not a backer at the panel level and you want to be to get this, and other awesome panels, you still have time to get in. There's a panel every month and they're all live, and chances for Q&A, and always a lot of fun.
I adore kid math. Like, ages, and salaries are just delightfully arbitrary. Revealing the truths of existence, here.
A little bit of everything in this unthemed set of explicit and non-explicit DPP stories! SO excited!
Oh, those cut and paste type things? they drive me bananas. Same, the stress!
LOOOVVEEEEEEE

I'm such a 'post and run'-er. lol. But it's true, you get what you give, and I love the community here when I can engage!
Phineas and Ferb, my beloveds!
Hello, strangers! I went on a silent retreat and wrote about it!

A logo with a circular image with a rainbow background and the white silhouette of an open book and a poised quill over the circle. Text beside this reads Indie Press Webring.
A year ago, I proposed making a web ring for independent presses! And - tada! The Indie Press Webring connects independent publishing houses. We're small, and we need your help spreading the word so we can grow.
Readers and Press folks alike, check it out: indiepresswebring.com

As I dip a toe back into creative endeavors, I find myself in the, ‘wow, I used to make some pretty good stuff. Not sure I’ll be able to do that again,’ stage of return. Been here before, it’s worrisome every time, but less so.
I’m basically off social media atm for mental health reasons, but I have to recommend this to everyone I know (and everyone I don’t): youtu.be/CCXnZIjSj1Q?...
The Chair with Sandra Oh (my beloved) is worth the watch.
Kink your tober with DPP! I haven’t written in… whoo boy. A while. But I might manage some fic this month with some of these spicy prompts. ;)
I read one book in September, A Dark and Drowning Tide by Allison Saft, a sapphic, academia, enemies-to-lovers.
Does anyone else go in ‘seasons’? I’m moving from reading into work & hibernation mode. Some of this might be due to needing my next dose of Ocrevus, but this is also just how I work.
Have you actually kissed/been kissed where there was anyone’s tongue tracing the seam of anyone’s lips? I don’t think that’s ever happened to me, ever. It’s generally a two mouths open situation.
I mean, same, for a good long time!!
I’d recommend Hermann Hesse. My favorites are: Demian, Gertrude, and Steppenwolf.
Note to self: live music is an INTENSE power-up! Do more of that!!
