While out trekking near the Turkish-Syrian border, one may end up stumbling upon an aqueduct from Late Antiquity/the Early Byzantine period in the middle of nowhere.

My goodness, we've lost so many towering scholars in the Social Sciences, particularly in the IR/Political Science field, over the past few years. As a political theory student, Habermas was impenetrable, and I cursed his name. More seasoned, I can truly appreciate his work.
