Lots of things in Arké are not about re-inventing the wheel, but executing well, sometimes with a bit of playfulness. For the recovery phrase, you scratch to reveal it. And there's a handy printable PDF to note it down.

And Sats is short for Satoshis, the sub-unit of bitcoin (what cent are to the dollar). With bitcoin getting so expensive, that sub unit is now much more commonly used. There’s actually a huge discussion on whether to get rid of that altogether because it can be so confusing. Tough habit to change.

Yep, Ark is for super fast, low-fee payments (bitcoin only). And you don’t give up control of your bitcoin like with most other solutions. Very promising, but it’s also super early, so it’s going to be really interesting how it all plays out IRL.

I tried this as an experiment and find that it feels nice. My first thought, like most other wallets do, was to mask the balance (like "*****"). Thing is that this still makes you think about the balance. When you see a nice landscape instead, it feels more private and relaxing.

When you hide your balance in Arké, you see a scenic view of a Tuscan landscape.
