🇬🇪🇪🇺 Georgia is Europe!
@netgazeti.org Today marks 500 days since the #GeorgiaProtests began on November 28, 2024 — the day the Georgian Dream, announced it was halting Georgia’s bid for EU membership.
What followed has been a prolonged and escalating crisis.
500 days of protest in Georgia, Tbilisi.
We oppose ruzzian occupation of Georgia. We are a small nation, don't forget us please

#TerrorinGeorgia
Since Nov 28, 2024, citizens have taken to the streets every single day to oppose GD’s decision to halt the country’s EU accession talks.
In response, authorities have used violence against protesters and passed dozens of repressive laws in an attempt to silence them, but #GeorgiaProtests
Day 500

🚨‼️First ever journalist prisoner in Georgia 🇬🇪Mzia Amaglobeli, the prominent journalist, founder of free media @netgazeti.org and media manager is unfairly imprisoned nearly for 15 months now!
Animal rights defenders have raised alarms over “disappearing” street dogs across Georgia as authorities conduct “veterinary manipulations” to manage the overpopulation of homeless animals.
🟥 Journalist Mariam Kuprava had been accused of “artificially blocking the road” while covering a weekly protest and faced up to 15 days of administrative detention, even though video evidence presented by the MIA showed she was identifiable as a journalist.

🟥The @echr.coe.int has registered Mzia Amaglobeli’s 3rd application [over degrading treatment in police custody] within one week of submission.
The application is challenging violations of several rights under the European Convention on Human Rights, including Articles 3, 8, 13, and 14.

“That is the biggest warning Hungary carries for Europe: When democratic institutions decay for long enough, elections cease to be contests between programs and become desperate referendums on whether political change is possible at all.”
carnegieendowment.org/europe/strat...
🟥 Mzia Amaglobeli’s case was reviewed for conditional early release and rejected because she “still doesn't repent her actions.”
🟥The law doesn't require acknowledgment of guilt or remorse for conditional early release

Some of them were found by activists, look how happy the doggo is😍
We woke up to the hellish news of homeless dogs being rounded, taken away by force and apparently cremated, maybe even alive❗️
Violent goverments deal with everything with violence🤬 and they are lying about it
A lot of people have been taking care of them for years at their own expense and now💔
