I’ve had the good fortune to meet & talk with TIM CURRY — 80 Candles 🎂 today — a good few times over the years, and I can tell you that whatever you would’ve hoped him to be in real life, he truly is: charming, ribald, very funny, witty as f**k, larger than life, & just lovely.
EU: The European Union will require sale of mobile phones with “user-replaceable and longer-lasting batteries” starting in 2027.
The regulation demands “availability of spare parts and manuals for 10 years to curb planned obsolescence”.
The Forest Service just told Congress to go pound sand. Forest Service Chief Tom Schultz appeared before the House Appropriations Committee this week and made it clear the agency is moving forward with
The DOJ is now 5 month in breach of releasing the Epstein files.
Holding these criminals accountable should be the Nuremberg of our time.
What the actual fuck….

It just never ends. The Trump administration has officially scheduled an auction for drilling rights in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Companies can bid for the right to drill in ANWR starting June 5.

We got SaveUSFS.org updated! L.L.Bean has joined the movement to protect the U.S. Forest Service. Welcome to the right side of history.
It’s like when the 2017 Super Bowl ads were like “perhaps we should treat our fellow citizens with respect and dignity” and Republicans panned them for being anti-Trump.
The important thing is that there was zero self reflection.
Breaking news: New York jury finds Ticketmaster/Live Nation to be an anticompetitive monopoly.
FINALLY. A jury says the truth about what nearly everyone in Washington keeps denying.
Now we need remedies that help fans & lower prices, unlike DOJ meaningless “settlement.”
They're weak and getting weaker for sure but forgive me for not joining in the chorus saying this regime is cooked because another apocalyptic cut to federal funding for my sector just dropped and the kidnappings in my state have not slowed down (though it seems to have done so elsewhere)
I can’t hate republicans more than I do, yet with this news I can!!
The Boundary Waters wouldn’t just lose its protections tonight. It would lose them permanently.
And if it passes? It’s not just a setback you can undo in four years. The Congressional Review Act has a poison pill once a protection is overturned this way, no future president can ever issue a similar one again without a brand new act of Congress.
Here’s what makes this especially infuriating: the mine would be operated by Twin Metals a subsidiary of a Chilean company with a deal to smelt the copper in China. Foreign company with foreign profits. American wilderness destroyed. China gets the copper. We get the pollution.
A few minutes ago, the Senate voted 51-48 just to proceed. That margin tells you everything about where this is headed.
The vote is happening as you read this. The resolution is H.J. Res. 140. It uses the Congressional Review Act to strip a 20-year mining ban protecting 225,000 acres of the Superior National Forest that feeds directly into the Boundary Waters watershed.
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota 1.1 million acres of pristine lakes, rivers, and forest. The most visited wilderness in the entire country. And tonight, the Senate is voting on whether to open it to copper mining.
THE SENATE IS VOTING ON THE BOUNDARY WATERS RIGHT NOW!
Tonight, while most people are watching TV or putting their kids to bed, the U.S. Senate is taking a vote that could permanently end protections for one of the most beloved wilderness areas in America.
Hundreds of people should not be facing potential terrorism charges simply for holding placards, especially after a court ruling that the proscription of the organisation they were supporting is unlawful. That's not how democracy is supposed to work.
With 150GW solar, India achieved its target of having 50% of its total installed electricity capacity from non-fossil fuel sources in June 2025, reaching this milestone 5 years ahead of its original 2030 deadline set under the Paris Agreement www.pv-magazine.com/2026/04/10/i...
The wealthiest and most powerful men on Earth have decided they will happily kill us all, whether with nukes or starvation or disease, to keep from facing the consequences of their lifetimes of crime
The Epstein scandal, the warmongering, the worship of money, we're sick of it all
Time for change
France passed a law requiring solar panels on every parking lot with more than 80 spaces.
Equals 10 nuclear reactors
Reduces heat island, shades cars
The US -- 800 million parking spaces. Most of them are uncovered asphalt sitting in direct sunlight.
Why aren't we doing this?
The Senate vote to destroy America’s most visited wilderness could happen with 24 hours’ notice and the deadline runs out at the end of April.
I LOVE this book. So many ideas. Too bad you arent writing a STEEL book too
“Look, I appreciate the pope’s efforts, but he just doesn’t understand Catholicism” is such a funny stance that so many people are taking. I’m not Catholic but I’m pretty sure the pope knows ball, so to speak.
