We were delighted to join partners at the official opening of Fern Meadows in Faringdon – a brand‑new extra care housing scheme helping people aged 55+ live independently, with care and support on hand when needed.

Huge thanks to everyone who has these garden posters on display - I’m really hopeful that we can get Bryonie on to the Bicester East Team where the only thing we will be discussing is how to support you, using the collective might of Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council 🙏☺️🧡
Delivering leaflets and reporting potholes 🗞️🧡🤩
It’s been a busy few weeks. I’ve spoken at the Health and Wellbeing Board about the need for our domestic abuse service to be meaningfully effective. I’ve attempted to explain the 90% SEND deficit write off at Cabinet and I’ve spoken at Full Council in support of Bicester East works and projects.
A bit further forwards on the Launton Road pedestrian crossing today, although much further away still than I’d like to be, we keep going! Progress is being made on the flooding under the Bicester North rail bridge. And I spoke in support of more work to keep our pavements looking clean and tidy 🧹🫧🧡
Spring conference done 📝🤝🧡
Well done to the team in Oxfordshire for enlarging our vote so effectively🔸
Good campaigning session in Bicester East today. Lots came up on the doorstep, but mostly potholes. I’ve been able to explain to residents that we are moving into a ‘recovery’ phase now that the weather has dried, we plan to throw everything at this and get caught up. You will see activity near you.
It's time to end the scandal of SEND services treating our children like cash cows.
Good turn out for today’s Saturday campaigning 🥇🤩🧡
Finished off a busy week with some delivery 📮
🔶 The Lib Dem budget has passed! 🔶
Today, Oxfordshire County Council has agreed the first fully Liberal Democrat budget. We couldn’t be prouder of what’s been achieved 🧡
Spoke with BBC Berkshire this week ref fostering. We have an amazing fostering service in Oxfordshire that is not unique in needing more foster carers. I’m grateful that the BBC continue to cover this story.
A key part of local campaigning is growing the team. We’ve successfully recruited 3 deliverers and 1 bundler for Team East Ward today. If you would like to get more involved yourself, we would love to hear from you 🤝🥇🧡
We’re really lucky in Bicester East that one of our neighbours is the published author Nigel Collett. It was a fab evening having been invited to the launch of his latest work ‘The Dream of Magnus Maximus’. I’m looking forward to reading it now.
9 miles walked today campaigning for Team Lib Dem’s and campaigning to keep the London Road open 😮💨

The meetings for the week might have stopped, but letting residents know what the team have been up to certainly has not 📮
We have some really exciting candidates coming through for May’s elections and I cannot wait to play my part in getting them over the line and onto the team 🥇
New year campaign kick off 🥳

“Effective progress” is being made on special educational needs in Oxfordshire, according to Government inspectors sent in after the county failed its inspection in 2023. Parent/carer organisation OxPCF says “This is the beginning of a journey – but many families may not yet feel the benefits.”
The huge pile of illegally dumped waste by the A34 in Kidlington is utterly shocking.
Yesterday a Govt Minister agreed to meet me, I will ask her to step in to remove this terrifying environmental risk.
I’ve also raised this as an urgent matter with the Chief Exec of the Environment Agency.
It was a pleasure to be put under pressure with some tough questioning from some of our younger Oxfordshire residents.
Useful day knocking on doors in Whitley Crescent today trying to understand nuisance parking and where the county council might be able to help.
That’s this weekends reading sorted out 😳
Cllr Andrew Dodds
Anneliese Dodds MP
Oxfordshire County Council's cabinet member for transport, Andrew Gant, has fired back at Oxford East MP Anneliese Dodds over the city’s temporary congestion charge. In a five-page open letter, the LibDem councillor calls Labour’s opposition to it “grotesque, upsetting and bizarre”.
