Newly released police records show delay after Hortman shooting, early ID of Boelter as suspect Authorities first identified Vance Boelter as a suspect within three hours of the start of the politically motivated rampage at the home of state Sen. John Hoffman.

There is no way to solve the "congestion problem" by expanding roadway capacity; no such approach exists.

No surprise, though, to watch an administration that denies the fact of climate change opt to reject the science on induced demand, too.

A package of bills in the Minnesota Legislature would loosen local zoning rules in hopes of encouraging home construction.

Lakeville, a booming Twin Cities suburb, is weighing a one-year housing moratorium in part to counter the “Yes to Homes” legislation.

As ridership swells, bill to study expanding passenger rail service out of Twin Cities revived More people than ever hopped on Amtrak trains in Minnesota last year, including nearly 200,000 in St. Paul.

Not enough trains too many riders:

"Rail ridership locally is surging. In fiscal year 2025, just under 200,000 travelers got on or off Amtrak trains at St. Paul’s Union Depot." 58% increase "the highest ridership in the Twin Cities by far in the past 15 years."

Light rail tracks embedded in concrete keep breaking every winter, causing the train to have to slow <10 mph for months at a time. Then they have to shut the train down in the spring and fix it. It's not ideal!
