whatever the opposite of green is, that’s the color of my thumb
My garden is incredible, because it’s hard to be bad at plants in the U.K.

ok but I am ETTA/LTTG (late to the gate), and this is way more stressful to my ETTAETTG wife
oh man, that’s brutal, I’m sorry
A) what on earth
B) dumfernline is winning this, it’s their time
oh man if that 90+5 goal is the thing that sends tottenham down, that would be delicious
also Geneva sucks, like, a lot
they’re much too busy doing acute care to focus on preventative
on the upside the extra preventative/private stuff is readily available for not much money at most corporate gigs (I think I pay around £75 or 100 a month for all my extra preventative medical/dental, and that’s on the high end)
the best time to! where ya goin
A 10lb pork shoulder and 3 big beef short ribs on a stovetop
paternity leave ends Tuesday, so clearly I must spend this weekend smoking several kilos of meat to freeze in to cubes so that maroongal has plenty of food
every week, what a dream
Is your council good about taking more than what you’re “allowed”? my current one is, but in Wandsworth if you left a broken down box next to your bin they would leave it behind
our council alternates rubbish and recycling each week
we have a new baby and the Amazon/gift packages are relentless
I have never been so grateful for recycling bin day coming today, it was getting absurd
I just spent 3 hours cleaning the kitchen, doing laundry, and cooking, all while I played a bunch of Tom petty and bob seger very loudly and he slept more peacefully than I’ve ever seen anyone sleep
he didn’t sleep in his cot for more than 45 minutes last night
during daytime, baby will sleep:
in Moses basket
in cot meant for sleeping
in car
in stroller
on the sofa
even if music is blaring
at night time, baby will sleep:
lol you will hold baby. baby not sleep otherwise, why would you think that could happen
A lobster roll from a shack in Maine will always be good. But it’s possible that’s because of the beach and the beer and the huge amounts of butter?
I have been very guilty of not following this advice, then when we moved last year I had to face up to just how much pointless crap I’d accumulated.
this advice should be followed!
that color scheme is gorgeous
Buddy and I found this game at a free play arcade in the Chicago suburbs in like 2011 and uh it is *weird*
Indeed, just totally different games. But if you like T20, if you’re ever in London in summer try to go to a Hundred match, they’re mega fun and similar structure to T20
t20 and the hundred are both ridiculously fun days out, and I’m grateful they essential boil down to “hit dingers, be a legend”
went to England India test at lord’s last year and didn’t understand anything about the strategy
I don’t know much about cricket but I’m pretty sure 13.3 runs per over is bad, regardless of what format is being played!
You’re pretty much guaranteed a ticket if you do the queue - you just have to turn up at 4am and be patient. It’s a super fun experience though, did it in 2022 and got tix to court one. It’s probably the best sporting event I’ve ever been to
And in classic British fashion, the warm weather arrives on Tuesday!
Congrats doc
can’t believe I am saying this but given the choices… go blue?
CONGRATS!
easyJet is, and I am not kidding when i say this, my favorite airline
no nonsense, clear pricing structure, reasonable customer service, and gets me to the half dozen or so places I like to go in Europe. Plus they fly from Luton and that’s easy for me to get to
today we decided we would take piglet for a walk and go to the pub
We walked mayyyybe 2 miles, had exactly 1 beer each, and have spent the last 4 hours alternating naps
-700 on the year, let’s make it happen
The magnolias are in bloom here and while it’s still chilly, we got to take piglet out in the pram and yea, this time of year rocks
both obsessed with football and their fading status as a global hegemon
this is why I moved to engl-
/taps earpiece
ah, well, nevertheless
