Congratulations to the first authors, Nicole Hamagami and Dvita Kapadia, and to everyone who contributed to this work! It is wonderful to see this collaborative project between my lab and Harrison Gabel lab come to fruition.
Thrilled to share our new paper on reactive microglial plasticity! Using long-term fate mapping and epigenetic profiling, we uncover the remarkable plasticity of reactive microglia across the lifespan and the enhancers and associated TFs that govern state transitions.
Congrats!
Thrilled to share our new paper @cp-cell.bsky.social:
“Microglia–astrocyte crosstalk regulates synapse remodeling via Wnt signaling.”
This work demonstrates the necessity of glia–glia communication and coordination during synapse remodeling.

It was a lot of fun co-writing this Spotlight with a talented graduate student @jingyiyang0321.bsky.social in my lab. Congrats to @fchrisbennett.bsky.social @nachoriko.bsky.social @waisenberg.bsky.social @Movahedi lab on these two important papers on microglia replacement! @cp-immunity.bsky.social
Thought this would be a nice way to enter the bsky community👇Delighted for Katie (now in Chris Dulla's lab at Tufts). Thank you to our collaborators, to the reviewers and to Cagla Eroglu for the highlight!

Congrats!!
Our lab's 1st paper, led by @fchrisbennett.bsky.social & @waisenberg.bsky.social. A decade thinking how to directly assess the impact of microglia replacement. Yrs of hard work. This kind of work is needed to expand brain disease care for kids & the vision for safer, more effective cell therapy.
