Every time I hear a belt buckle I feel like running away

I AM going to therapy for this because it's my intention to learn how to regulate my emotions and show my kid how it's done. Ending the cycle.

My mum was like "well some kids need to be spanked" and I was like ok thanks for implying I deserved it cool cool cool

After having a kid of my own, I GRIEVED the fact that I was hit so much because I couldn't imagine laying a hand on a child to "teach" them something I could use words for.
