Intra-EU migration has positive fiscal effects on the net fiscal position, while extra-EU migration has a negative effect when background characteristics are controlled for.
This is the main result of a new comparative study of the net fiscal position of migrants in Europe.

Glad to share that our paper together with Jim Been (Leiden Uni) and Marike Knoef (Tilburg Uni) is accepted at the American Journal of Health Economics.
Interestingly, we find that job loss leads to an immediate *reduction* in headaches and fatigue.
