Amazing that in the national divorce the libs are getting the NFL, butter and cooking oil, being attracted to adult women, standup comedy, Bud Light, and now also Catholicism

this is just a lie. Ds in senate just voted 40 to 7 to restrict aid to Israel. For the first time basically ever, there is a visible, stark partisan divide on Israel.

Erasing that doesn't help Palestinians. It does help anti-establishment grifters like Cenk Uygur though.

What you need to understand is the vast gulf between:

People who see the rules as guidance informing them of what good behavior look like,

vs

People who see the rules as a starting point for figuring out exactly what they can get away with before someone intervenes.

The best part of getting rid of street parking is that in addition whatever beneficial thing replaces the parking, you also have fewer cars cluttering up the neighborhood

We could just go back to calling them Safety Bicycles except that almost all e-bikes are also technically Safety Bicycles

Tesla paid $1 billion in taxes to China & $0 in federal income taxes to the US. At least 88 highly profitable corporations paid $0 federal income tax last year while bringing in $ billions. Disney, CVS, Palantir, Taco Bell & others are making massive profits, paying executives enormous ⬇️

I'm generally suspicious of the death penalty but when a motorist kills someone and then flees, idk death might be too kind.

It's really easy to look back and attribute your success to things like "I got As in school and I passed that test." Those are salient memories and legible markers. But it can be more true that what actually got you here was the ability to persevere, to disengage from bad pathways, and to recover

A related point I like to make: The act of riding a bike is inherently very safe. The danger comes from cars.

Mamdani hasn't had time to really think about all that space he now has, because he spends most of his time at City Hall and around New York City. He tries to keep a semblance of his old life by getting around the city on foot, by bike or train.

"If you spend every single day driving around in a tinted window security detail, you will have a very specific view of the city," he said. "You actually meet other New Yorkers and you break out of the bubble that so many have come to expect of politics, where politicians only seem to be spending time with other politicians or the people who donated to make them politicians."

I'd say that this applies to anyone traveling in a car in any city. Being in a car versus walking, riding, or taking transit fundamentally changes how you view a place and your relationship to it. I wish more leaders set this kind of example.

Cities like Copenhagen, Turin, Rome, Paris, Lille, Brescia, Honolulu, Rennes, Toulouse, Lausanne, Vancouver, Montreal, etc., have all built automated light metros…

Seattle could do the same, to great effect!

The motion passed 50-49, and now goes to Donald Trump’s desk.

Republicans just handed the Boundary Waters to a foreign corporation.

For the GOP, it’s foreign billionaires first, America last.
