Usually I do research and find references but I wanted to just wing it with this one, it's a simple model and in my comfort zone :)
Completely winging it with this model, can you guess what it will be? Animation at the end #gamedev
Unfortunately the command seems to be kind of bugged in ue5 as the meshes outside definitely do cull, I have tested this numerous times after thinking something was wrong because of this command :-/
I think freezing mesh culling looks really interesting #gamedev
Finished this wall warping effect by making the monster tear through the wall! #gamedev
Would you rather identify ghosts using apple juice, a paint gun or breath mints? #ScreenshotSaturday
I just made the water translucent and used refraction to create the ripples in the "reflection"
Screen space reflections weren't looking good so I used the old "duplicate the reflected meshes" technique, looks great now! #horrorgame
Instead of scripted events the environment can be dynamically affected by the ghosts paranormal activity!
Like this knight armor that will fall apart piece by piece #gamedev
Currently getting crucified on instagram because they thought this DLSS 5 post was serious.
Why is it always instagram?
I finished the wall warping effect! #horrorgame
So glad we won't have to worry about art direction anymore!
Thanks nvidia for being a leading force in the enslopification of video games, I'm sure the shareholders love it :D
Ghost Scout now supports NVIDIA DLSS 5!
I added some different ways to enter/exit the map to my horror game! The front gate, backyard, basement, and the roof (helicopter!) #horrorgame
What the geometry of this warping wall effect actually looks like #gamedev
Working on a pretty cool warping effect for my horror game, performance friendly and works on any surface! #screenshotsaturday
Identifying ghosts using a glass sculpture, this one shows off the refraction effects a lot better! #horrorgame
Apologies for the lack of posts lately, I'm still a bit sick but I'm almost better :)
Kind of yes, the game is about using all kinds of objects to see and identify the ghost, glass shards, mirrors, security monitors, old film cameras, paint balloons and more!
This glass shard might be too easy to use for later levels but I still like it because it shows of the concept in such a clear and cool way :) #horrorgame
Identifying ghosts using water balloons #WishlistWednesday
Testing an effect that allows you to see things that are otherwise invisible.
Especially happy with the custom refraction effects going on! #gamedev
How to identify a ghost using a water gun #screenshotsaturday
This might have been a mistake... #gamedev #horrorgame
Someone suggested adding a Dreamcatcher to see ghosts, so I did! I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, a pretty easy one to use but cool nonetheless #gamedev #horrorgame
This old film camera is probably the most difficult Anchor so far #gamedev #horrorgame
I put a lot of time into the surface moving/warping effect. Will anyone stand still long enough to notice it? Maybe not but I'm happy with how it turned out #gamedev #horrorgame
Breaking this mirror illusion... #gamedev #horrorgame
I added a handheld mirror a while back but I decided to add a stationary full body mirror as well! #gamedev #indiegame
