Necromancer dragon sitting in his lair with all the gold, bones and impeccable vibes.
Beautiful, menacing dragon for @xelrah.bsky.social 🦴
This was such a fun piece with all tiny bits and bobs sprinkled all around the scene. It took a lot of time, but it was worth every second. I'm so happy with it! 🫀

I disagree here, the problem is not the dinner, it is Trump.
The WH Correspondents Dinner, as actually practiced, is a sort of humiliation-of-the-powerful ritual common and valuable in republics since antiquity.
That Trump is incapable of doing this is yet another signal of his unfitness to lead.

Disney Animation remade three songs for ASL. For these, we resurrected the original data and pipeline version, reanimated (from near scratch in some places), relit where needed, and re-rendered. Probably the hardest way to do this, but definitely the right way to do it, so that's what we did!

This is actually the normal and legal functioning of a blockade. Blockading ships can order ships running the blockade to stop for inspection - a ship that refuses to stop can be fired upon to make it stop.
Ships with contraband or running the blockade can be seized.

“Another way to look at this is that billionaires have joined a war on professional administrative class of public servants precisely because of their proximity to formal mechanisms of accountability.”
That part! Everything from documentation to compliance mechanisms to whistleblowing is a threat.

Exclusive: Jonathan Frakes Confident Star Trek Will “Resurface,” Decries ‘Starfleet Academy’ “Trolls”
The veteran Trek actor and director weighs in on the status of the franchise.
Star Trek
Jonathan Frakes: "I think, sadly, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of our incredible franchise, it seemed very unfortunate that they’ve chosen this moment to not have any new Trek in production. It seems like a very unfortunate irony."

There are prehistoric skeletons with evidence of healed injuries and birth defects that would probably have limited their ability to work. But they were cared for and lived their lives, even in a time when food was scarce and life was hard. Kindness and society are fundamental to humanity

I do feel bad for all the legitimately good tech people out there catching strays over this, but let’s make sure we’re keeping our eyes on the “genuine threat of technofascism” ball

the thing about our current moment is that yes, the anti-AI and anti-big tech people are getting very reactive nowadays - but have you seen what they’re *reacting* to?

The way profit maxxing corpo culture has invaded every form of art through algorithms pushing people into daily posting is really weighing on me lately. Efficiency and regularity of making "content" being prized above all else feels so grim, man.

Three busts of a pirate character. First without clothes, second with bandana, shirt and eyepatch, third is same as second but with a tricorn hat
My dnd character that’s been sitting around waiting to be used :c Figured I’d at least finally show him, his name is Graves and he’s a cursed pirate dragon

The United States has spent decades failing to reckon with the fact that it is, fundamentally, a naval power and to be a naval power, a country must, y'know, invest in their navy.

Image is a digital illustration of a pale qilin-like creature racing across a flat terrain as foliage sprouts up from its hoof tracks. Looming overhead amongst the the deep blue sky's clouds is a large cervid creature overgrown with vegetation and speckled with otherworldly glowing markings. #furryart #furry

The "we know pterodactyls and plesiosaurs aren't dinosaurs" note below the chart is hilarious - poor @dhmontgomery.com trying desperately to head off the wall of angry emails insisting on the point.

"These are the artists, illustrators, character designers, environment designers and other technical specialists responsible for the look of Marvel’s film and television productions. Many had been with Marvel for a decade or more."
Short term vision, as usual. 🤷

while I understand why people like it, I don't think I'm really one for class-based TTRPG systems
I think it does cut down on player expression, and creates a mental rigidity that develops into closed-mindedness

Wild that Altman is being sued by his sister for repeated sexual abuse and that doesn’t come up in basically every conversation about him. I get that it’s alleged but if that shit was happening to someone else I feel like that would come up, particularly if that person had a history of lying a lot.

We have TV shows about hoarders that are really just used as a way to gawk at people who have a disorder. Yet most people do not throw nearly the same sort of shade at billionaires, who are quite literally resource hoarders who absolutely should be shamed and belittled.
