Here's a new commercial about our #mission to help build bridges between people:

Reminds me of my mother's home. I remember it being thatched until the 1970s. Sadly, the local thatcher passed away around that time and there was no else with the skills. So the family had to install a slate roof. While functional, it doesn't convey the coziness of thatch!
Paulist Fr. Dave Dwyer appeared on CNN last tonight to discuss President Trumpβs comments about Pope Leo XIV.
Fr. Dave is our First Consultor and executive director of our @busted-halo.bsky.social media ministry.

While this is Divine Mercy Sunday, I remember family members also calling it "Low Sunday". The euphoria of Easter Sunday is waning. Some doubt may be starting to creep into our daily lives as we return to personal difficulties. Jesus told Thomas, and tells us, "Peace be with you.β He is with us!
I sure do miss it...
Looking forward to its publication!
He is missed, but we were blessed by his loving presence. May he continue to intercede for us! π
I remember my friend, who is a professor, calling it "Wackypedia"! π€£ He had to remind students that it is by no means authoritative, which was a revelation to many. They figured if it's online, it's factual. π±
With sadness, we announce that our brother, Rev. Richard W. Chilson, C.S.P., has entered eternal life.
He died on Friday, March 20, in the rectory of Old St. Maryβs Cathedral in San Francisco.
He was 82 years old and a part of the Paulist community for nearly 60 years:

With sadness, we announce that our brother, Rev. Daniel E. McCotter, C.S.P., died on Monday at a care facility near St. Louis, MO.
He was 81 years old.
Fr. McCotter served for decades as a parish priest and pastor, including three decades of ministry with the Chinese community in #SanFrancisco:
I was blessed to preside at our 2nd Scrutiny this weekend. The church was full! We prayed with and over 42 elect in our OCIA and OCIC! This is the largest group I've ever encountered. Neighboring parishes report growing numbers too. The Holy Spirit is at work! "Veni Sancte Spiritus" π
I sure do miss the Old Pueblo...
In today's gospel the Samaritan woman at the well longed for the healing waters that would quench her thirst forever. She found the living hope within herself as she met Jesus. It had everything to do with who stood before her, treating her with dignity. We must always do the same... π
One of my favorite pieces!

This Sunday we are invited to go into our own desert, in a figurative way. Can we disconnect from social media to spend just ten minutes every day of Lent in silence, letting God speak to us? Can we stop thinking, just long enough, to listen to God with our heart? To witness his presence to us!
At one time Nicholas was discerning his vocation with our community. Icons he created during those years are cherished and venerated in our community.
Nicholas is a very talented iconographer. At one time he was discerning his vocation with our community. During those years he created beautiful icons which we venerate to this day.
The ancient and constant tradition of the Orthodox churches (baptism, chrismation, eucharist at infancy in one ritual) is being noticed again by Roman Catholics. Some call it "restored order" with a few dioceses following it. Perhaps the Holy Spirit is trying to tell us something...
My parents remarked how it was part of their childhood. A kind of "turning the calendar", so to speak. Spring beckons!
Thanks for posting that! Two of my favorites are Oingo Bingo and Echo and the Bunnymen. Looking forward to checking it out!
Today we again hear the Beatitudes. They are not easy, clear answers in our modern world. Jesus offers criteria that place the Christian in the midst of the world and at the heart of its conflicts, where various allegiances compete with one another violently. May we continue to be peacemakers!
Conversion of the way to Damascus by Caravaggio
The Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul is January 25th. This year the Sunday observance takes precedence. But our community #PaulistFathers will celebrate its patronal feast nonetheless! Society needs an ongoing conversion experience as well. May St. Paul intercede for us all during this time!
Saddened by this news. I knew him personally and always appreciated his insights. RIP π

John the Baptist gives witness in this Sunday's gospel, reminding us of our baptismal promise to do likewise. How do we measure up? May our witness be found in our stumbling and falling! Finding the courage to try again and testify God is here; constantly at work in our messy, imperfect lives.
