I got caught up with some other tasks. But now, I'm back and ready to continue. I was thinking about using RevenueCat, but there are some other options to consider in the meantime. I recently checked out Adapty. Has anyone here tried it out before? I'd love to hear your thoughts! ๐

๐ Weekly Recap #13 ๐
Squashing bugsโone step at a time!
๐ฑ Tests on different Android versions revealed layout issues.
๐จ Tried out several icon setsโsettled on Tabler Icons.

How's your motivation doing today?๐

It's way easier for Claude AI to create an entire widget from scratch than to make small tweaks, but hey, that's just how it goes! ๐

Windows, but there was an update to the SDK tools in Android Studio, which caused the notification service to break. I reinstalled the awesome notification package, and now everything is working again.๐
Hi! #bluesky
Why does this keep happening? ๐ฉ Just closed and restarted Android Studio, and now nothing is working. So frustrating. Feels like I spend more time maintaining Android Studio than actually building my app.

๐ Weekly Recap #12 ๐
Testing the app on multiple Android devicesโnew bugs keep showing up! ๐๐
๐ ๏ธ Fixing issues I hadnโt noticed before.
๐ฑ Big performance differences between devices.
Still lots to refine, but progress is progress! ๐

๐ Weekly Recap #11 ๐
Progress is slowโbugs keep popping up. ๐๐
๐ค Even Claude AI is struggling with one stubborn issue.
๐ Plan: Re-implement the affected feature from scratch.
Sometimes, a fresh start is the best fix. Onward!

๐ Weekly Recap #10 ๐
The last week was all about fixing rather than building๐
:
Android Studio & Flutter update broke everything.
Notification package issues + package incompatibilities = headache.
Lesson learned: Next time, Iโll update more carefully!
Onward and upward!

#FlutterDev
So, you sit down to code, and next thing you know, you're mindlessly entering those same three commands over and over again all day long:
flutter clean โ flutter pub get โ flutter run ๐
Looks like this is the true Flutter dev loop. ๐

Oh yeah, that's the way it is! ๐
Oh, for real? How funny, I'll give that a try! ๐
That's right, showering has a similar effect! ๐
You're absolutely right, it's just better.๐
GM! #bluesky
Why does it always happen? ๐ค You spend half the day struggling with a bug, get nowhere, then the next morningโboom! Fixed in 10 minutes.
So it seems that sleep is the ultimate debugger.

๐ Weekly Recap #9 (After a Short Break) ๐
Glad to be back at work!
๐ ๏ธ Focused on pro featuresโcurrently the biggest challenge.
๐ค Upgraded to Cursor ProโSonnet 3.7 agent is a game-changer!
โฐ Implemented remindersโone step closer to a functional app. Excited to keep pushing forward!
#BuildInPublic
Absolutely! It's way more enjoyable to work with it now.
GM!
Have you tried using Cursor with Claude 3.7 Sonnet? It's so much more fun now! You can do a lot more with fewer instructions than before. And it's even more creative when it comes to following commands. ๐

Finally back at work after a few crazy weeks! ๐๐ Can't wait to catch up on everything I missed.
We've returned from our Thailand trip, but we're still feeling under the weather. It seems like things don't always go as expected, but I'm looking forward to getting back to work soon!๐
#buildinginpublic
My health hasn't been great since arriving in Thailand. Thankfully, I'm starting to feel better, but I know I won't fully recover until I'm back home. After a quick trip to Koh Tao, we're now enjoying our time on Koh Phangan. We still think this is the best place to be. ๐ด
So excited to be on Koh Samui finally! Unfortunately, things aren't going as planned. It seems like I've caught something and now I'm dealing with a fever that I need to recover from.
I arrived in Bangkok yesterday, so I must have chosen the right day. There are lots of nice people, but there is hardly any breathable air. I will be happy when I travel on to Koh Samui soon. I hope I can find the necessary inspiration to do some coding there.
I'll be heading to Thailand๐ด for a couple of weeks to recharge and for coding, of course. Do you have some recommendations on places to check out, specifically where the #BuildInPublic community is buzzing?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!๐
๐ Weekly Recap #8 ๐
New app ideas sparked (engineer + astronomer brain at work), but first things first:
๐งฉ Exploring paywall integration for pro featuresโnext big milestone.
๐ค Cursor AI is amazing, but crafting detailed prompts remains a bottleneck. Talking to it would be better.๐
#BuildInPublic
It would be nice if there was a direct way to talk to Claude AI in cursor, the amount of typing required to write the many detailed prompts is quite high.
#buildinpublic
After conducting some research, I have decided to implement this future-proof approach:
1. Start with local storage using Hive
2. Use proper state management (Provider/Riverpod)
3. Add remote storage later when needed (Supabase/Firebase)
4. Implement offline-first architecture

๐ Weekly Recap #7 ๐
I made steady progress on my appโs core features:
- ๐ฑ Tested the app on two Android phonesโitโs exciting to see it live and working now!
- ๐ค Switching between Claude and ChatGPT for coding support, depending on daily limits.
Excited to keep building!๐

๐ Weekly Recap #6 ๐
The core functionality of my app started taking shape!
๐ Progress is steady, thanks to MS Copilot.
๐ ๏ธ Android Studio runs slower on my old notebooks, but it lets me code on the go.
Excited to dive deeper now that I can dedicate more time. Letโs make 2025 count!
