GOP has been 100 percent transparent about their long-time goal of transforming the highest court in the land into an ideological weapon, and they have finally succeeded in the goal they have talked about since Reagan.

Dunno. I think it was mandatory in NY at the time.
Do we still do nice on 4/20? I still say nice whenever I hear the number, but I do it under my breath.
Anyway: Nice
Remember folks 4/20 was made up by Hallmark to get people to buy more marijuana cards

What he had was a gun.
I'm not the one simping for the 1%, brother.
Here's an uplifting story from The Guardian. Remember everyone can choose to be a hero.

As long as you have an inflatable raft or refrigerator onboard, you'll be fine.
America is *huuuuuge*. Similarly sized countries like Russia, Canada, and Australia have a lot of basically unusable land, but America is blessed with tremendous amounts of farm- and fertile land. We're empty compared to China and India, but we misallocate our resources.
More than 755 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the "ceasefire." Why are American news media calling it a ceasefire at all?
That’s a tautology. Of course people who have more money pay more in taxes. We could also point out that the wealthy still have more money after paying taxes. But that’s obvious. As a question of percentage of income, the wealthy don’t have a 70% tax rate.
lol. The movie I was thinking of is “Into the Night.” The 2 movies just blended together is my head.
It's fake.
the most interesting thing about this story is not the survey itself—which is a year old and has since been retracted over huge problems with the sample—but that media outlets keep trying to push stories of a massive religious revival among the young in absence of any evidence
The good ol' days.
The guy must be used to getting thrown into walls. That doesn't scare him. The knife breaking on Supes scares him. But not almost busting through the wall.
It's a great joke, and it made me fell a little better about seeing the movie to get the reference, because, like David above, I saw it too young, and it was sooooooo boooooooooring.
I love the dart and ballon one. Gonna have to try that on the fairgrounds this year.
When I went to community college, I was older than most of the students, who grew up getting the measles vaccine twice. I didn't even know that was a thing until the end of a semester where they said I wouldn't get my grades without the second shot.
Had I been a vector all that time? Who knows?
Apologies. Those data are old. For 2024, bottom quintile is 17% and top is 29%. 4th is 27%.
A peer reviewed study shows a promising link between flu and shingles vaccines and a reduced risk of dementia. A heroin addict who cut off a raccoon’s penis for “further study” says these vaccines cause autism. For busy Americans, it can be hard to know who to trust.
Live forever? In this economy?
No, the top 10 do not pay 72% of all taxes. You're specifically looking at Federal income tax. Throw in excise, gas taxes, property taxes, payroll taxes, etc. the 4th quintile pays the most taxes, and while the lowest quintile pays 20% of their income, they have little to no investments.
No, lol, I’m not sure. I probably am.
I could have sworn Jim Henson, John Landis, and Frank Oz made cameos. I can find no info about that now, though.
Ah well. I’m no doubt wrong. My memory isn’t all that reliable.
Just got an email from LinkedIn suggesting that I follow Bari Weiss.
Welp, time to close my LinkedIn account.
Ah, thank you!
After Hours with Griffin Dunne is filled with cameos of directors and musicians. I saw it a long time ago, and I’d bet I’d recognize a lot more if I watched it again.
