I do not understand what it is that makes people allergic to alt text. You're just being less than your best self when you refuse to do it. I see 40k-100k following accounts who won't do it, a middle finger to everyone with issues needing alt text to be able to participate. You're bumming me out. 1/

Some people in algebra: When will I ever use this in real life?
Me: ... that is way too much stuff to move out of the corner of the craft room tonight. So if the big chair is about 40" wide, and I put it in the corner, that makes the square of the hypotenuse of the right angle 40^2, divide by two..
I’m guessing it’s because it’s a smaller size, although, goddamn.
Little known fact: if nobody will pay £850,000 for your house, it's not worth £850,000.
Fun thread of good works:
I KNOW RIGHT
Indeed. (Unfortunately I follow Chris and a few lawyers for their explanations so it was right there.)
(And now I will stab a chunk of frozen hamburger about it. 😭)
Me wondering: oh god did someone get killed
Me scrolling down four or five posts to Chris Geidner's law write-up: Oh.
This is horrific. I feel physically ill.

.... oh I regret posting this. I just had the worst collision of moments of Two Worst Guys... oh no
"Like Zorro"
Hey folks! Do any of you have any COUPLE/PAIRING drawings you've done based on my stock images you could share with me?
I need a few examples for a crowdfunder I'll be launching in a few months, and would love to add a few (with credit of course) if you have em
Under this administration? And these tech barons? Absolutely not.
Beth worked as a doctor for years until a transphobe turned up. Now, she's had to leave her job, leave her home, move to the other side of the world and is still being hounded and harassed by the media and cult.
She did nothing but exist as trans in the orbit of Sandie Peggie.
I don't think that man's capable of fighting without telegraphing it. Also he doesn't move like someone who is comfortable doing coordinated and trained physical movement. Martial arts, dance, anything. It could just be the sword. (My martial skills are mostly unarmed, specifically capoeira).
I'm seeing everyone post this with That One Clip From Indiana Jones but may I counter with: That One Clip From Zoro (Hopkins and Banderas)

"Never fear. I is here."
It's been actual decades since any form of sword or knife training and I only remember two things clearly. One of them was wrist strength! (The other was hand position on the hilt, something about center of mass? Center of gravity? at the hilt and stable positioning.)
Did you HAVE to.
Am I just picking on him or is his wobbly wrist inviting someone to knock the sword out of his hand?
I've always admired tanzanite but never really coveted it, but the combination of that necklace shape and the stone makes me really want it. 😭
I mean that whole screed is basically just "ew, William wants a do-oll" in grown-up speak.

It is SO SHINY. And pretty. And yes, part of me wants it because it's really fucking rare. I am not above wanting The Precious. 😂

Anyway, let's clear some things up: This idea that men don't have paternal instincts is bullshit. Men get caretaking instincts trained out of them at an early age, but that is nurture, not nature. We observe this in childrens' play because people punish boys for playing parent.
The mine is something like 10 square miles or less, it's a small mine. It can't be re-created or duplicated in a lab. This shit is rarer than DeBeers wishes diamonds were. And it's a WHOLE BIB NECKLACE OF TANZANITE.
Honestly if I had necklace money instead of functional car money I'd snap it up.
For the record, Tanzanite is found in exactly one place in the world. This much of it in ONE FREAKING NECKLACE is bonkers.
Ahh, fair. Texture is one of those weird things where it's different for everyone which textures are Just Plain Wrong, Oh Boy, That Is Not A Food Texture, Get It Out Of My Mouth.
Texture or taste? (or lack of taste, in some types)
I've never been able to stand the texture of chopped liver, for some reason.
Asking for me and my bookshelf.
