I harvested and prepared a thistle stem today! It was very tasty all soaked in vinegar with a sprinkle of salt and black pepper. I didn’t peel enough of the outer layer away so some of it was not chewable but I really enjoyed it anyway. The blossom is drying so that I can display it later.

I’m wearing linen palazzo pants and a short sleeved purple sweater. And making chess piece earrings. Daughter is wearing a red polo, black slacks, and will likely do green/blue eyeshadow and a bow tie.

Our group to watch TADC in theaters has grown by one and she’s down to do Disney bounds of the characters with us. My daughter wanted to do one of Caine but was worried she’d be the only one. I said I would do Kinger and her friend is going to be Gangle. This is going to be very fun. :3

When I was growing up, my mom always used a tax service, so I did the same for years. A couple of years ago, my friend sat us all down and walked us through the e-file process. It was so much easier than I expected and I thank her every year for teaching me how to fish.

It was a good day today. We bought groceries and had lunch. We went to an estate sale and I found a wind chime made from silverware. I had a tarot 1 card pull that made me laugh (inverse Page of Swords after a very emotional week). We watched The Orville and cleaned house. It’s cool and rainy.

Kiddo is enjoying The Orville. I love this.
