Mine are 28 days. I’ll take them every day for the rest of my life and my dose will change maybe once every 3-5 years. I remember reading a report about how much money the NHS could save by switching to longer prescriptions e.g. 3 months for long term conditions.

New job, new flat, new chapter… same office buddies on my WFH days.
8 days, 3 gigs, 2.5 cities and I’m still thinking about those pretzels. From visiting the Cavern Club and seeing a Beatle perform at Anfield, to exploring the culture, art and history of Berlin, with excellent company old(er) and new, that was a great week and a much needed chance to rest and reset!

Found a great little duck food vending machine by the lake in my hometown. Solar powered, takes £1 contactless payments and dispenses (many) handfuls of (loose) duck* food.
*Mostly eaten by the geese. Gits.
The appointments system is awfully slow, when I joined in 2018, apps closed in June and appointed by October. When I left, I had to stay an extra month so they remained properly constituted. Aware of one non-DfE role which went days short of a full year from app deadline to shortlist approval.
Went for a lovely, relaxing wander around Knaresborough, in anticipation of a stressful week ahead.

Interesting he pulls out the word ‘free’ there - there’s no such thing as a free lunch and it does make you wonder what conditions might be imposed on such a bailout, if Augar’s claim here is correct.

I've been secretary to 3 university councils (including 2012-14, Cardiff) and none routinely took votes
I've seen several others in action and voting is a minority habit
Brief trip north to enjoy some art and culture. Fab to see free exhibitions around the city and, in particular, spotlighting of student artwork.
Toughie of a week, so my sister came to campus between the hospital visits and redundancy meetings and we fed the ducks. And then she grilled me about boys. Nice to have some moments of peace and normality, however brief.
I agree, but then I'm reminded that as a HE sector, we subject clearing students to much of the same uncertainty on a not dissimilar timeframe each year.
Today's purple was a strong contender for most vile connections category of the month!

I may also be reading this wrong, but I just interpreted that as provision to be able to expel a student (if warranted) where they’re found to be harassing another student or a staff member. It’s not very well articulated though
Trying to find dementia friendly gifts suitable for a clinical environment but most of the things I can see are plushie/textiles which are a bit of an infection risk.
Has anyone found anything that’s been well received & enjoyed without adding to the noise, mess & microbiology of a hospital ward?

She clearly has very good taste in paint, maybe not so much in men. Although Sulking room pink is better. And I still feel a bit cheated that she had to end up with anybody, because why does happiness have to come from a magical man tree? I love these films but they don’t love me back 😅
